About the instrumental and vocal added parts - it's good to know they recorded their orchestral and vocal back tracks with prestigious institutions as London Philharmonic Orchestra. London's The Metro Voices choir group and London's Young Musicians Children's Choir as their regular partners. As I saw, you enjoyed the powerful performance of the band, together with the stellar vocals of our Dutch metal queen, Floor Jansen. Hope you'll continue on this path. Since this is your first Nightwish reaction, it is my duty to give you the short history of the band concentrated by Ann Waychoff, one of the biggest Nightwish fan who has since passed away (and I am doing this in her memory): " Nightwish was started in 1996.They are considered a Symphonic Metal band, with a female main singer. They are from Finland. Tuomas Holopainen, the keyboard player, composes and writes the lyrics for 95% of their music. Marco Hietala is the Bassist and vocals .And there is the guitarist Emppu Vuorinen . Then there is Troy Donockley from UK who is a multi-instrumentalist and vocals. Jukka Nevalainen is the drummer. Yesterday I decided this song is my Top 2000 number 1. I saw many reactions and thought what would Floor say. And today I see this video. Wow! What a woman, what a person. I am a 56 year young die hard Iron Maiden, and metal genre fan generally speaking. Believe me, never ever, have I cried to any song before listening to GLS 2013. And I still do. It was the biggest surprise of my life. Having Marko, Emppu, Tuomas, playing the song with such passion is an unbelievable feeling, but you singing and Jukka giving his all on the drums makes me feel like my soul was ripped off my body and taken to heaven.

I was there, at the Colombia concert, when Floor was sick, I was in the meet and greet and the guy in charge came and told us 'We are this close to cancel the concert because Floor is very sick' and we were like devastated. But then Floor came to stage and she sang like she wasn't sick at all, her voice was amazing, she was amazing, my sister and I couldn't believe that she could sing like that being sick. She's amazing, they're amazing, definitely my favorite band.

I saw you guys for the first time in Vienna late 2022 and you blew me away. Tuomas is unreal, he writes so many 'perfect compositions' and you guys bring them to life. there i was, four years in the army (not USA) and was on the bus back from the shooting range with my guys. had the headphones in and heard this performance. Did not know floor, did not know the song and just heard from nightwish. That performance was so beautiful that i nearly cried. i hid my face and the video and nearly shed some tears. i held it back, so that no one would notice. after twelve years i quit the military and everytime i watch this video, it reminds me of this moment in time. Now i dont need to hold it back anymore. I love music for that. thank you floor and the guys from nightwish for that performance.

That was my first exposure to Nightwish. Someone on reddit recommended it as a metal band with some of the best singers. I had planned to just watch the first couple songs, make dinner, then if it was any good, watch the rest that evening.
