They seem like a solid band, I'm excited to see them in September during their North America tour. Thanks for the upload.

Sure there are pop-ish moments but there are still some elements of metal or at least hard rock (throwing aside the obvious visuals). Sure it's quite different in some aspects but metal always changes weather if it's folk, to pirates, to Viking, then back to virtuousic.

Hey Staal take it easy no need to go on the attack. :-) I'm not a die hard Ghost fan, I listen to all rock, hard, metal, Industrial but I'm not into much Death, Doom, Satanic and other heavier kinds. I just want to explain why I think Tobias is just a genius. Firstly, yes he started his career selling himself as a Satanic dude, musically more heavier but in my opinion I think it was and still is a great marketing stance. He is a great businessman not only a great musician. He knew what will shock and make him noticed, it is all an image. So yes all these dark bands, like candlemass, musically they are very great bands but they will remain a niche for their crowd and will not have a big following like Ghost, because nowadays unfortunately image sells as well. Now musically Tobias is very versatile, he changed from the first and second albums, in my opinion I hear there is a maturity as a musician, not because he became more mainstream, but you hear riffs and other cords and instruments that beforehand he didn't explore. You have to give credit to the man where it is due. But first and foremost I like him and the rest of Ghost, because THEY LOVE what they are doing and it shows. They are enjoying themselves making costumes, shock, etc and making better music all the time, with every new album. In fact as well this week Prequelle won best album in the Kerrang Awards, so I guess something good they are doing. Even on stage it shows that everything is a show and they are enjoying it.

I'm always surprised people still have a hard time to believe that they are satanists, when them keep on insisting on it
@gianlucacupo5335 жыл бұрын
Everything right, except that Tobias didn't write ghost songs , they have pro songwriters working for them and that explain the very high quality. Tobias is a marketing genius but definitely not a songwriter anymore, that would be too much.
