Ghost of Christmas Past - A Chrismas Carol inspired Doll Repaint

Hi guys! We enter december this week so today we're doing this Christmas past inspired doll ^^ Muppet's Christmas Carol is one of my favorite holiday movies, even though it really scared me as a child ;P What's your fave christmas movie?

Doll (I used monster high, but barbie would work too.)

Me and my husband always watch The Muppets A Christmas Carol every year on Christmas eve so this character just got me in to that Christmas spirit! She is incredibly beautiful and the details on that dress is amazing.

You made such a beautiful doll, I love her aura of innocence. To me Christmas Past means Christmas during my childhood and other past Christmas traditions such as St. Lucia day where I believe it’s Holland that it was tradition for girls to wake up in their white night gowns and prepare breakfast and sometimes they had this headpiece on that was a wreath with four candles (yes I know dangerous for today’s standards but they seem to have it under control), anyways the head wreath reminds me of the light emanating from the ghost’s head. I really hope to see your other renditions of the other two ghosts, as you did such a beautiful job on this one.

Pinki Girl The source I heard about St Lucia said it's a Swedish tradition. And the girl would wear a red sash, tied in a bow at the front, and carry a tray of special sweet buns garnished with berries. (Yes, it was American Girl Kirsten...so? They did a ton of research back when it was still called Pleasant Company.

I never get tired of your doll tutorials. Every one is fascinating and educational, especially when you're trying something new. My favorite version of the story is the movie Scrooged with Bill Murray, dated in the 80's as it is, it's still funny as heck.

In the musical Scrooge, Christmas Past is a she, and she’s actually the ghost of his little sister. My high school did the show in my senior year, I played Christmas Past.

Rina 21 I always though the dolls were young women. In this case if Past is a child (girl) the future is and adult woman, present being somewhere in the middle.

Don't feel bad about being afraid of the Ghost of Christmas Yet To Come - my mum told me how her grandfather played that role once when she was a kid and she cried and screamed and wouldn't go near him for days! Love your interpretation of Christmas Past. :) Are you doing the other two? My favourite Christmas movie is... The Snowman. Or The Great Escape - that is absolutely necessary Christmas TV.
