Jin's Journey Chapter List includes the Prologue and Act 1: Rescue Lord Shimura
Ghost of Tsushima is an action-adventure game developed by Sucker Punch Productions and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for PlayStation 4 and Playstation 5. Featuring an open world for players to explore, it revolves around Jin Sakai, one of the last samurai on Tsushima Island during the first Mongol invasion of Japan in the 1270s. The game will be released on July 17, 2020.
The game is set on Tsushima Island in the late 13th century. It will feature a diverse assortment of regions and buildings, such as countrysides, fields, shrines, ancient forests, villages, farms, mountainscapes and various landmarks. Players will encounter numerous characters, friends, and unlikely allies while adventuring.
Characters:
The protagonist, Jin Sakai, is a samurai warrior. His friend and companion Masako is a female samurai. The main antagonist is the ruthless and cunning general Khotun Khan of the Mongol Empire. Other characters include Onibaba, the High Priestess, and Ippei the Monk.
Plot
Set on Tsushima Island in the year 1274, the game revolves around one of the island's last samurai, Jin Sakai, during the first Mongol invasion of Japan. The armies of the Mongol Empire, utilizing weapons and military tactics unknown to the Japanese, have conquered and devastated many countries and Tsushima is all that stands between them and the mainland of Japan. The island was devastated by the first wave of the Mongol invasion; its samurai forces were easily defeated, allowing the invaders to conquer large swaths of territory where they terrorize the local inhabitants and gather resources to build up their strength. Jin is one of the few survivors of his clan, wiped out while trying to defend the island. With his world shattered, Jin realizes that the way he was trained to fight is useless against such a powerful enemy. Ultimately, he must learn the way of the Ghost, an unconventional fighting style that emphasizes small-scale attacks, creating fear in the minds of the enemy, and using their own weapons against them, to defeat the Mongols and prevent them from launching a full invasion of the mainland.

And for me the acting of jin very realistic. He seems rich or upperclass. The way he talk. His jokes. His way of thingking. He seems like an educated man. Which is he is. Also the looks of his face. His face give a sense of calmness and polite. I love the way developer design jin. My favorite game that i watch are the last of us and the evil within. Both of main characters give a badass vibe. When the mongols massacred the Japanese population on Tsushima, they raided other islands across Japan. The mongols were stopped by a hurricane which is known as “Kamikaze”. So rather than a hurricane stopping Khotun, it is Jin Sakai (Kamikaze) that stops him. Which is also why the clan Sakai katana has the rushing wind as details.

Gürkan Kandemir do you even know what’s honor?? Honor is fighting for your people, protect the innocents, not killing someone seeing him in the eyes or obeying a code. Shimura was blinded by honor (or by the code) as Jin said. Shimura obeyed this code no matter what and this cost him a lot of lives. Anyway, it was Jin who said this, the Ghost was only a protector. Jin didn’t transform in Komoda beach in the Ghost like some people say, we can say that he matured and he opened his eyes, he discovered what true honor was. Like I said, true honor isn’t a code...

I think Jin is still an honorable samurai by the end of it. Jin just doesn’t follow the code his uncle, Lord Shimura follows, but instead follows the code his father followed. Which is to protect the people at all cost. I really enjoyed that mission with his caretaker, Yuriko, because it gave a lot of perspective of how Jin was a lot like his father who at many times disagreed with Shimura.

For me personally him wanting to die a warrior's death brought back memories of Jin's Father. Shimura said he died a warrior's death, but he didn't. He died begging for his sons help. The Samurai code is too rigid, too restrictive. I spared him because Jin doesn't follow the code any longer, and I will do anything I can to try and make Shimura understand that the code is wrong.

Regardless of killing him or not "The Ghost will be hunted for the rest of his days" is a true statement, sparing him or not, the consequences for doing his ways away from the code will still go against Jin's favour from the mainland Shoguns even after all that he accomplished they will never respect him because it does not honor the samurai's code even though he saved many lives. The choice to killing uncle in my eyes was just to respect his wish rather than a warrior's death because that is not what he is asking for, a warrior's death by your own family, Jin was basically like a son to him is no warrior's death. Personally I viewed it as his uncle is only running away because of how emotionally and mentally conflicted he really is because his supposed to be son that will carry on his legacy did not go along with his desires and beliefs in the end but there is also nothing wrong with that. Jin made a "choice" to change even if it means to go against those morals/beliefs he grew up into, just to save everyone that he cares for and for those he met along the way. I spared him but I think both ending is valid to each their own, it's just that with Jin's character progression and how he changed and adapt as a person away from the constraint and all that he abide his life to for the way of the samurai. Will killing uncle really change anything other than for honoring his wish and the pride of the samurai code? regardless good or bad Jin will forever remain the two side of the coin " The Ghost and the The Samurai" He has become a new breed someone who adapts with changes of the world to protect those who he cares for, why must there be senseless sacrifices if there is another way around it to be victorious while minimising losses. Jin's uncle deeply cares for him I don't think he will commit a seppuku, It was a duel that neither of them wanted in the first place Jin's character was no longer constraint with the samurai's way of thinking. Lord Shimura also could have just reported to the shogun that he failed to find the whereabouts of Jin, he can no longer be found after the final battle with the khan. Remember a lot of people in the island still don't even know who the ghost is let alone the shogun and people of the mainland they don't even know what Jin sakai looks like, with the time period of this game was set in and throughout my playthrough how the culture of japan was during those timeline people relied heavily on superstitious beliefs/rumors. I really love this game I hope everyone had a fantastic time with Ghost of Tsushima! I believe we will get a sequel or a dlc would be great too with a plot that will lead to a sequel in the future, Jin talks about dealing with the remaining mongols after talk with Yuna at the end but also mentions dealing the Shogun?!?!?!?

The sheer detailing in the colors in this game is so on point. Notice how Jin was dressed in dark clothing, riding on a dark horse because it was a symbol of his new life as the Ghost. His uncle, dressed in bright white, riding on a white horse, upholding the traditional Samurai way of honor. Tradition vs Modern. Light vs Shadow.

I've just finished this - an absolutely amazing game and stunningly beautiful. I played it with the characters speaking in Japanese with English subtitles. Hearing the characters speak in Japanese made the characters feel more real to me, as a personal preference chosen in the options menu.

This ending reminds me of the end of The Dark Knight, the hero chased off as the villain only to return when he's needed, could lead to an interesting sequel. Maybe they don't need to follow real history and make the Mongols the villain again, feel that there's not a whole lot new they could add with the same map and enemies, maybe he's chased off Tsushima and you explore a different Japanese island.

Always love hearing your reviews and I'm praying for a sequel as well. I believe the story can continue for sure. Could continue by going against or getting hunted by the samurai and you'd have to eventually take down your uncle then the Shogun!
