honestly for me both endings fits him imo, killing you uncle is kinda like ending your last ties with the samurai by giving a warrior's to the one who taught you to be a samurai in the first place, now by not killing him it pretty much solidifies your path as the Ghost while showing your love for your family.

I see the endings to be more about Jin realizing he does not follow the way of Bushido anymore or if he still has a sense of the old ways left in him. With the Spare ending he lets his Uncle live because he does not believe in those ways anymore and he accepts it. This does not really mean it is a happy ending as his Uncle will have to live knowing his "son" is going to always live a solitary and lonely life, and that he himself is honor bound to hunt him down if he ever meet him again. But of course he does live and can still find happiness in his life, but there would probably still be more discontent in the world as the Ghost has started to garner more followers. While the kill ending is definitely more tragic for both of Jin and Shimura, it would probably have a more negative effect on Ghosts reputation. When people find out that Jin killed Shimura I would think that less people would want to follow him. But the rule of Tshushima would then be put on someone else and the new clans would most likley start to feud amongst themselves. I don't remember the name, but there was one of the Samurai lords named Lord Oga I believe that had some dialog in the game about Shimura being a bad leader etc, he would probably try to take over. I don't really know which ending I prefer as both fits the story and themes really well. But I kinda think the kill ending is more tragically fitting and it just has a more emotional impact. The journey started with Jin wanting to save his uncle, but in the end he ends up actually killing his uncle because of the choices he had to make to win.

I love how the final fight with the Khan fully shows Jin's journey throughout the game. It starts off one on one, an honorable duel between fighters. It's also a good callback to the first time they fought on the bridge. They even have the close up of their angry faces like in those classic 1v1 fights in movies. But when the Khan loses the first phase, he falls back and calls on his men, and you have to use your Ghost weapons to gain the advantage; something Jin would never even think of using very early on in the game.

At the end of 2020, I didn't see KZbin for awhile. I left off on Part 32 of this walkthrough. After I finally saw KZbin again, I didn't feel that it was right to see Part 33 until the time was just right, and everything was perfect. I later started a 200 Day KZbin break, just to see how long I could do it. With it ending today, on August 5, 2021, the first video I saw was this video, as I said to myself that I would finish what I started, and so I did.
