Also note that in order to unlock the Bomb pack for the assassin, you have to complete the mastery challenges as a Ronin, max it out to 120, ensure that the "Assassin Unlock" is enabled and then assign it to the assassin. It won't let you unlock that 2nd perk for the mastery challenges, unless you do that. Great video btw! Thanks for the build suggestion!

Also plug for Oni Damage as a stat; it seems to affect everything: bombs, fire, poison, callous insults, et cetera; and is a huge effectiveness boost for Nightmare

Heres My build: Water Katana: Melee damage or Oni damage 11.7% Perfect parry window 9.9 way of the flame water master Bomb pack: Blast radius 22.7, Status effect damage 18 (fire and poison damge) Black powder bomb Assasin unlock Stealth Charm: Stealth Attack damage 23.5, Ghost weapon damage 18.9, Resolve increase(1 extra resolve), Firemaster 25 extra fire damge Spirit kunai: Ghost weapon damge 20, Cooldown reduction on kill 4s, supermassive hiddenblades Smoke bomb: Stealth attack damge 24, Cooldown reduction on kill 3.4s, Lucky munition Techniques Refreshing Vanish for crucial situations, 30% assasination, Deft hands -reduce ghost cooldown by 3sec, Shadow storm with 5 strikes This build is extremely powerful. Mainly focusing on Spamming black powder bombs (fire damage)and spirit kunai, you can take almost the first waves that come with two black powder bombs and spirit kunai which instanstly resets your kunai and spam again. Also since we have extra resolve we can sort of spam on shadow strikes as the resolve gains super quick due to lot of kills from bomb pack and kunai and the kills from shadow strikes cools down your ghost weapons again. And ofcourse with smoke bomb you can easily assasinate 3-4 enemys adding to further cooldowns. And use Way of the flame with your shadow strike. So basically, this build focuses heavy on cooldowns and spamming everything. Stealth, ghost weapon spams, ultimate, fire damge. I found this way better and faster to kill than my poison build. Try it folks. Nightmare survival becomes a breeze. But ofcourse, you have to play good and learn to time everything right. Me and just one hunter, two of us did the latest nightmare survival(Shadows of war) with reduced healing modifier.

I tweaked this build, with chain vanish on the assassin charm, and blowgun instead. It is easily the most synergistic built I’ve been able to find, the chain vanish double douses the toxic vanish, ontop of already softened up blowgun enemies.

@@manuelmorse3338 I agree spent 3 hours rerolling to max damage and utility. Although the passive quick assassination is a deal breaker for assassin now, since you dont have to worry about getting decked mid kill in nightmare anymore, unless you try to assassinate a full health oni of course.

This actually just gave me an idea on a possible combo with Sugaru’s(?) Sight on the Hunter as a serviceable bow til I can get my hands on the Skipping Stone Bow. If the liquid courage can have sudden resolve, then the effect hopefully stacking on top of that could give a base of 2 resolve?

How did you get the bombpack to 120? Cant activate the mastery challenges. Locked to ronin. Getting assassin unlock doesnt remove the lock. Activating the challenges on ronin makes it bound the the ronin. Help?

Nah don't worry actívate mastery with ronin and it will still work and level up with the assasin, as long u have assasin unlock as the perk.

You need the perk assassin unlock on the bomb pack and for Samurai on forbidden medicine

@@CriceTHR yeah I meant that you can’t master a bomb pack with samurai and assassin but apparently you can equip it with Ronin, bind it to him and switch back to the other character, equip the pack and master it that way. Very unnecessary in my opinion.

Your Bottle of Liquid Courage fills 1-3 Resolve but mine only fills 1-2. Is that a random perk, or do you need to get it up to 120 to get it to fill up to 3 Resolve?

I've been trying different styles with my assassin, and my latest is two toxic vanishes that stack. So basically, I passively get my kills while I'm waiting in the shadows lol. Though I have to say, this is only for my solo survival, not for the team play. In my opinion, kunai kills aren't as fun while you can have toxic vanish passive kills all the time. I also don't like using ultimate power combos all that often - it leaves so little to strategizing😅 Thanks for the video though, it was still quite informative for a different style of play!

How do you get tha assassin to master the bomb pack as it says only the ronin can master it

Equip it on your assassin with assassin unlock equip it to the Ronin too. Then start the mastery on the Ronin don't worry about it when it says it'll lock it to the Ronin. If it's already equipped on your assassin it'll start the mastery and still be equipped on your assassin and track.

Because most the top leaderboard builds don’t run assassination, assassination is viewed as a meme as the animation even with the perk is too slow and can get you killed. Like mid animation another oni lord attacks you. Most builds I see rely on blowgun softening up targets with status then sweeping up with Ult.

Assassination animations basically also kill speed run times if you want top spot in Nightmare Leaderboard as an assassin.

There's a place and use for everything. Since the update Samurai/Assassin only have 6 normal bombs and you'll only find 6 ghost pickups on the maps so spamming should decrease. Same could be said about the stone skipping headshot spamming of all the Hunters. ;)

This build is a hot mess...not optimal at all and its all over the place.... Are you status effect or are you resolve gain ? Mixes aren't cutting it in nightmare as smoothly. Focus that fire...ghost weapon damage over status effect on your charm ? Dude...come on now... Healing gourd over demon seeds ? And you have fire bonuses? What are you sir, what....are....you
