Ghost Pepper Seeds Were Not Ghost Peppers

I feel really bad. Peppers that I nurtured since January are not what they are supposed to be. I feel even worse that I sold starts that may not be what I thought they were. Market customers that bought a Ghost Pepper weather or not it was a Ghost Pepper, please bring the label to me next spring and I will make it up to you with a new start of your choice. I apologize for the mistake.

I grew a ghost pepper plant and once the pepper looked ripe,I held it for 20 minutes thinking about how hot it was going to be and then bit into it and there was no heat at all,not even sure if it was a ghost pepper or bad growing that caused it.

😀 Love the story. After looking around on Amazon, a lot of sellers are trying to pawn off fake hot peppers. I went back to using Pepper Joes' seeds. I gave away several real plants this year to customers because of getting nailed this year by the fake pepper seller. Happy Gardening!

@@CMooreStarts I believe I bought this at a local grocery store and the fact that it wasn't hot was a blessing,I wasnt prepared to bite into a ghost pepper and was out in the yard without any water or anything else to drink.

Just saying, Amazon isn't the best place to buy pepper seeds since as you saw, you may not get what you wanted, there are better online places to buy pepper seeds from like Refining Fire Chiles, Puckerbutt Company, Chile Pepper Institute, Pepper Joe's and or Baker Creek Heirloom, the one I highly recommend is Refining Fire Chiles since they carefully Isolate their peppers in order to prevent cross pollination and to get the purest genetics possible and I've had no problems with them as the pepper seeds grew true to parent, hopefully this helps and good luck 👍
