Ghost Recon: Breakpoint The M4A1 Scout

The original intent of the Recce/Special Purpose Rifle was to provide rapid lightweight precision-fire capability at moderately close ranges (300-400 yards) and if needed, the rifle could serve for house clearing or traditional fire and movement. In other words, the Recce/SPR is a true “general purpose” configuration. How does the rifle work out in Ghost Recon Breakpoint? The rifle has to meet certain requirements for me to use it as a primary weapon platform. 1. It has to be accurate. 2. It has to be easy to control. 3. It has to be able to accurately hit POA at an elevated rate of fire. With the right attachments and scope the M4A1 Scout will accurately land head shots beyond the 500 meter mark. The longest headshot I've landed in this game is 617 meter and it was with the M4A1 Scout. My previous record with a DMR was 589 meter with the 553 Scout, which I'll make a video about whenever I get around to it. The 553 Scout and the M4A1 Scout are both capable of consistently hit the mark at medium ranges, but I favor the fire rate of the M4A1 Scout as the 3 round burst group is tighter. Also, the slight increase of fire rate compared to the 553 Scout also makes sure that all 3 rounds will hit almost simultaneously in a target zone the size of a fist at 300. Going up against the heavies in this game you have to be calm enough to knock the helmet off their head with the first round and then reacquire the target and hit their noggin with a second shot or let the first round of a 3 round burst knock the helmet off and the other 2 rounds split the noggin open like a watermelon. It does however seem like due to the cyclic fire rate being higher on the M4A1 Scout it also allows me to fire in semi auto faster than on the 553 Scout. Nice vid, The inky requirements for me for a weapon to be my primary is that 1. Accuracy 2. Range 3. Ability to have Mawl-da (Best Laser pointer in the game) 4. Has a similarity to real life guns 5. Noice reduction 6. Capability, I wanna see if it’s capable enough to do any and all tasks

at first i was against getting this rifle because it is basically just a longer range m4a1 tactical, but I ended up getting it and falling in love with the rifle. I used it through the last few stages of the end game and i wished i got the rifle earlier

It is a very good DMR and when using the right attachments and perks it becomes easy to land 400m headshots all day long. Due to the fire rate it also is fast enough in semi auto for closer ranges.

@@Eastford oh, I just found your video recommended randomly, as I was looking for content from BP and WL, just found these games on console and I really enjoy playing them. When I started out, I was also into DMR-s, since I mostly go with the AK variants, but basically these are my go to tools still. I am gravitating between these, but since you pointed out the possible advantages of the M4A1 scout, I would probably go grinding to buy it in-game too :) The other thing I would once try when I can get used to moving around and targeting with the controller (oh, perhaps you have any recommendation about that too?), would be one of the shotguns clearing a base in solo. I am glad people still play this game, even I am late to the party 🥳

@@catarctic Another DMR I tend to use is the 553 Scout. It has a slower fire rate, but with the right attachment and perks it is just as accurate as the M4A1 Scout kzbin.info/www/bejne/e6nVgJmAqbl5r7M

My fave setup for this is std mag/asr compensator /PEQ15/tactical grip/ EXS3 scope. Accuracy. Check. Range. Check. Handling. Check. East Ford what's your setup?

My set up is ASR Standard Magazine, ASR Standard Muzzle, MAWL-DA (+10% Range/-10% Sway/-20% Shot Spread), ACSS Sight, Core CP Stock ( -5% Vertical Recoil), Bipod and Foregrip Combo (-10% Horizontal Recoil/+10% Range/-15% Sway/ -10% Reload Speed). I typically run as a Panther class, which gives me +20 Stealth and +10 Movement Speed. The perks I use are Slim Shadow (+80 Stealth and +10 Agility), Gunslinger ( +15 Accuracy and +15 Handling) Ballistic Advantage (+60 Range and +30 Handling) Weapon Mastery Upgrade is maxed out DMR (+140) Accuracy, Handling , (+175) Mobilty.
