It's POFs take on the H&K M416. The P416 has a fluted barrel, flat top receiver, VLTOR free float CASV-ELT handguard, chrome bolt carrier, A2 flash hider, Usually a nice match grade Timney trigger, Mag Pul grip and CTR stock. A LOT of work went into the rifle.

H&K 416 was made in response to the reported reliability issues of short barreled AR15 the weapons in use by U.S. Special Forces. Forgotten Weapons and Larry Vickers have episodes on the design and production. I believe Larry Vickers was also involved in the design itself while he was working with H&K.

Hey, your videos inspired me to get Wildlands in preparation for Breakpoint. Glad to see Ghost Recon stuck to its origins better than Rainbow Six. Ghost war is dead, especially in Asia, but hope to catch a lot of traffic when Breakpoint drops.

Ghost Recon Breakpoint and Wildlands is definitely worth playing. Both games are pve not pvp, there is pvp however the core part of the game is pve so if you are looking for pvp this isn't the right game to play however pve wise the game is very good.

I own 3 POFs (Warhog 556, P308 SPF, and Revolution). It's up in the air as far as which came first. I went with POF because it's made in US and has no proprietary parts like HK. Watch IragVeteran8888 meltdown video. POF ate 2500 rounds of steel case Wolf ammo on full auto with zero failures. POF rifles are built like a tank.

@@Darkdally I know this is old, but the POF 416 is the select fire (full auto) version of the POF 415, it is only sold to military and law enforcement and doesn't show in their standard marketing material. That's why it's hard to find info on it.

I think you should go into a base, and allow one of them to spot you, and start shooting at you before you take him down. That way, you are guaranteed to be in an open shootout, to get the results you were looking for.

I know the HK is mostly a free float AR15 with a G36 piston system slapped on it, which itself draws heavily from the AR18, but not sure if the POF was independent or also inspired by the AR18... Tl;dr Stoner knew a thing or two

DD, rumor has it Frank got POF started by earning a contract with CAG to build them a short stroke piston monolithic upper assault rifle. When their shop couldn't deliver the numbers on time, HK stepped in with their version of a short stroke piston 5.56 gun (and 7.62 if I recall). I bought a 416 upper back in 2008 and it took the company nearly 20 months to deliver. Cost me around 1800 bucks at the time and damn, was it worth it. Not only was it smooth AF of a piston gun, but it was also a nail driver. I've never had a chance to work on a HK416, but i've put my hands on a few that some PDs near me use. Honestly, couldn't tell you which "came first", but both are extremely high quality guns.

Another thing is that remember how in SOCOM and the first few GR games how not every mission had to be linked by some Avenger's Plot? Introduce that again. One mission you are going to Central America to deal with a bomb macker, the next you are in … India tracking down an arms dealer.

Personally, I prefer the HK416 over the P416 for the simple reason that it offers the long barrel as an attachment option. Most, if not all the assault rifles, can only consistently penetrate the front windscreens of the Black Hawk and Apache choppers when equipped with a long barrel, regardless of the penetration stat displayed on the weapon stats. This makes me favor the HK416 and R5 RGP over the other AR15s such as the Mk18 and LVOA, especially since I don't run under-barrel grenade launchers, so the ability to directly target and kill the pilots is important when the helos join the fray. Just my 2 cents worth. Love your vids, by the way. Keep 'em coming, Dark.

My only problem with the P416 is penetration, sometimes I had difficult time shooting through fences and light cover. Not the case with the 416.

in this video i shot through a wall and also a pile of sandbags with it. as far as i've seen all assault rifles shoot through the same stuff, but some times it's finnicky. i think it sometimes depends on the angle... haven't properly tested that yet.

@@Darkdally It may be the angle, I clearly remember 2 occasions were I was shooting the P416 through a metal fence and shots failed to connect. It was suppressed though, that may have something to do with it. Never had that problem with the 416.

I know stats don't matter because the M40 has better range than the MSR, despite having a shorter barrel and being .308 vs .338LM. Also, I've found is generally the best for range (without clipping issues) because with the long barrel and T5xi, 300m is at the start of the crosshairs instead of the first notch.

I like your thinking, damage tests aren't really viable, combat effectiveness tests when variables can happen like convoys randomly appearing during a base attack and reinforcements coming are what proves a weapon's performance because literally if you are playing the game for real expect shit from happening everytime you clear out a base unless if you get lucky, no choppers fly pass, no convoys go pass, no one gets alerted. Ahem!

Hey dark, I know you’ll be doing mostly breakpoint stuff but if you retest another rifle could you retest the LVOA? I’ve been using it and it’s worked pretty well for me in Tier mode. Been switching between that and the MK18.

If you can redo this video all scenarios at close, mid, and long range for each weopon, it would give a more complete breakdown on each weopons function. Tried it and I personally prefer the SR3M. Considering UNIDAD wears armor it dropsem' with 2 to 3 shots.

Thanks for the comparison, but would have been useful to also see the vehicle destructive capability of both, as well as penetration through walls. In my experience the HK416 seems to have a little greater destructive potential for vehicles, and greater penetration through walls (especially with short barrel) but would be interested in your thoughts.

When you do first person zoom with different weapons you will see the p416 is much more stable it doesn't move as far up and down when your zoomed in. Making it more accurate despite the stats. On the stat bars the ak12 is better at everything especially accuracy, but if u zoom in 1st person u will see it bounces up and down much farther making it much less accurate. How much the weapon bounces up and down when zoomed in 1st person is a hidden accuracy stat and that's what the p416 excels at making it the most accurate and maybe best weapon in the game

P416 is a great starting weapon, usually swap back to it after using a sniper rifle or lmg for defending . I prefered using G28 as a battle rifle and shooting semi more then 416 via dlc came and now its my go to rifle running dig scope & supressed is good to 150m cause of random bulletdrop

Gameplay wise,the P416 is just as good as all of the assault rifles because you can shoot down an lmg Unidad jerkwad/SB cartel member with just a burst, but i've never tried the 416 but most of the assault rifles can do that. And despite the p416 not being good when you first start the game,it's pretty deadly when you focus on increasing the stable aim skill and it's accuracy via the gunsmith menu. It's also a pretty great weapon imo

Hi i bought the 416 from the shop few days ago and i using it with the digita scope, but my bullets are not going where my crosshair is aimed. I mean, the bullets are going a bit higher than my crosshair, and this only happens with this scope, not with any other. Why could this be? This is so important to me because this is my favorite scope in the game, and i would not like to use another one.

I almost exclusively use the P416 and 416. Both are incredible in almost every category and hit way above their stats! Only other two weapons I use exclusively are the Mk17 and AK47. But for general carbines, 416 and P416 only Lol

to be honest aside from these games i ahvent really heard anything at all anout the P416, the only thing i ever have seen on that weapon is an IV8888 video where they did a gas operated AR meltdown and used a "cheap" rifle for that which was the P416

POF came first. It was the first, if not one of the first piston operated AR15 / M16's to be normally produced.

In reality that is. The H&K came along later. The POF was the first tested in combat (officially) as an upper receiver swap. After that was the Lewis machine and tool (LMT). At that same period, H&K was still pushing the G-36.

I think the FNC pre-dates the Deawoo by 10 + years (heck or even 20 years LoL) both the Deawoo and the FNC, take STG (M16) mags.. just for the amusement of analallity 🤣 😎👍

I don't think the stats count for much in this game, if you can one shot a guy with the starter rifle then just use whatever feels best for you and don't worry about stats, dead is dead.

I feel like the test wasn't fair. In the p416 test for the air base you just happened to alert the first guy by missing which in turn made the other guys alert and the alarm go on. Please re do the test

yeah, variables.... i did redo it. i did the air base a couple times, but variables will always happen with a base. that's why i always do the convoy - as few variables as possible, BUT it was getting stale af. people complained about that, so .... beyond spending 5 hours shooting a video... i do the best i can do.

Hk 416 was first and p416 was a desing taken from the hk416 by the americans after hk decided to give the anericans a copy after they reqeusted a cqb rifle for cqb the new m4 won in that test vut the americabs decided to make there own version of the 416 after the test and thats how the p416 and the m416 where qreated

The P416 is no where near the 416 in terms of performance but it is a decent weapon considering it is the starting weapon it is not bad. Still recommend 416 though but P416 can also do the job and depending on the player can also be better than the 416. Game is mostly skill based not gun based.

The predator pack just gives you a few weapons and cosmetics. I enjoy the M16 from the pack but you should honestly wait and save your money for when Breakpoint drops. The missions are free and you can get rewards for beating them.

they're both just ar15 style short stroke pistons. that's The only thing they have in common. a dime a dozen really. maybe a quarter since there's more di ar15 still rifles. I'm not saying either one is bad, in real life or in the game. I prefer long stroke pistons. hey ubi where's the primary arms rifles at? and yes I'm aware there are long stroke piston rifles in game. there no such thing as to many firearms though

Heck I even tried comparing the p416 with the R5 and I still ended using the R5 over it. P416 takes to many rounds to put down enemies on high alert.
