I'm enjoying the tier mode, leveling up my sniper rifle so it does the damage of an HTI and automatic to the point of matching an SR25 and terrorizing Unidad with the OP weapons.

For me it is still the best open world military shooter and one of the best game of all times. The map is vast and beautiful, the atmosphere is immersive, the gameplay is, especially in no-hud extreme mode, very satisfying. I love the customization of character and guns and the way new weapons are obtained. I've played over 525 hours and now, after playing two years of Breakpoint, I am returning to Wildlands again.

Loved this game. Wildlands is also vastly superior to Breakpoint in terms emersion and enjoyment. Wildlands world is beautifully rendered, with a large map and plent of "useless" NPCs that, though they do nothing, do make the game feel "alive" where as Breakpoint feels dead and abandoned.

Definitely one of the most underrated games to have ever come out I still go back to it every once in awhile if you want to have real fun and enjoy the game to the fullest play on ghost mode without the AI feels like an old school splinter cell

Someone who thinks like me. Can do the same thing with Breakpoint, play solo amd turn it into an open world splinter cell game. Especially since you can wear echelon gear in both games, its perfect. Theres a number of ways you can play this game, but imo, 4man MilSim is the best, unless your doing the aforementioned Splinter Cell route. Either way, awesome game!

@@grimcapo4390 Of course. In Breakpoint u can even select to go with jst one AI team mate. I always take Fury with me cos the rest are too good n kill everything before I even get a chance. Also u can go in solo if u want by disable all team mates. U can customise each team mate n also the customise is much easier n better in BP.

Agreed. I thought the game was great without it but Ghost mode elevates it to a whole new level, it forces you to make much different, and more calculated decisions, because the consequences otherwise is devastating due to the well crafted progression system. I wish more games could do something similar.

Well, that's a matter of taste. In all games so far I feel better immersed with 3rd person, where I can see my own character. Also first person always makes me seasick pretty quickly, lol... :)

My main gripe was that the bullets travel WAY too slow, otherwise it's a good way to kill time in the open world and has great customization options

If you snipe from 300m+ you can easily flank them when they run to your old position. sometimes I lay down in an open space surrounded by cover so I draw them into a killing field and light them up when they're in a group exposed.

I finally played it last year and was surprisingly impressed. Spent over 100 hours with it just with the singleplayer. I loved how varied the different regions are. The enemy AI is rather impressive and pose a formidable challenge. Although the squad AI is not that great imo. I enjoyed listening to their chatter. I wish there was more interaction with them and had the ability to issue commands to them individually and have them able to drive/pilot vehicles.

Wildlands is really good, a feature that would make the game revive is that you could choose 3 roles, be of the cartel, unidad or ghosts. If you pick cartel or unidad the ghosts will be just NPCs coming with the rebels. That would be a really cool feature.

Getting the First Person mod completely changes the game. Turn off the HUD and it makes it more tactical as you can no longer peek your camera over that wall or look around that corner, you risk getting detected to make sure your target is still there. It actually works quite well if you can forgive the small obvious problems *Since it’s not made for first person, some things like the falling roll reveal the players body as the camera doesn’t move with the character, too high of an FOV will reveal clipping with weapons, etc*

Yeah, the biggest reason I skip Tom Clancy games regularly is due to them being third person only. Battlefield games have always drawn me much more for their first person perspective.

I've played this game since it was released online and single player. Finished it on xbox and PC. When the multiplayer tailed off I then started the Ghost mode which took me ages to complete and is made harder because of the SAM and slightly dodgy physics!! But one of my all time favourite games. Great review too! I now play it in 4k 🙌

Breakpoint is not as bad as everyone is saying but Wildlands is better imo. If the stealth suit was as good as breakpoints and you could carry bodies like Breakpoint i wouldn't even play Breakpoint at all. But still Wildlands is up there with mgs5 as my favorite tactical shooters of all time.

Bought and played this game a while ago something like 6 months after it came out, and it was for sure my most played game ever in solo, the story was really good and the ambiances, differents landscapes, the amount of customisation on the character and guns... Really happy to see people liking it and making content about it even 5 years after its release !! Really cool video btw !

Another thing worth mentioning is that this is a really GPU demanding game, but it has the graphics to back that up. When this game came out most PC gamers probably didn't have the hardware to max it out but now that's a lot more doable.

The best military shooter game, hands down. I played it extensively on PS4 and bought it again just to play it on Series S. Online co-op can be irritating as most people aren't on the same page or don't really care about goals (especially fraggers), but when you get a good team going in tier mode, it's the bees' knees. Highly highly replayable game, and still the closest thing to SOCOM US NAVY SEALs.

As an old-school Ghost Recon fan, I did not like Wildlands...........at first. Over time it grew on me quite a bit. I loved the open world and the customization options for your character. Everything from weapons, gadgets and apparel have tons of options. If you haven't tried this, it's worth a go. Just forget that it's a Ghost Recon game and tell yourself it's a great open-world shooter and you'll be fine. Oh, and it also has great co-op play as well.

Breakpoint update [Conquest ] copied the Wildlands formula. They should have done this on release. I got burned out on the Wildlands missions, so I invented my own objectives for the playthrough. They are: collect all skill points [medals] and open all weapons cases. That's it. Play any way you want to, on any difficulty level. Don't use sync shot, and don't use the drone for a bit of a more challenging experience. Try various playstyles and weapons options. It's a very repeatable process, and can deliver different experiences in the playthroughs. Start and end where and when you desire. Play a few missions if you want to, or just skip all of them. It's freestyle gaming.

I bought this game because I noticed that it can be played without any internet connection and the rest was history to this day I'm currently doing the tier mode to get down to tier 1 and it doesn't get old! And then breakpoint came out.....

Ghost Recon: Breakpoint is now good thanks to Motherland update. Yes it's true Bolivia has a very wonderful biomes but on Breakpoint physics and movement is superior to Wildlands. It now plays like Wildlands too if you just try it again.

I tried it again. It's better, but still a lot worse than Wildlands. It's still buggy, the AI is really dumb, the map is still empty, and on top of all that a lot of the missions are just repeat missions from the standard campaign with almost nothing changed at all except maybe some dialogue.

This is one of fav open world games to date the tier One mode is challenging and the campaign is good fun The guest stars such as Rainbow six's characters along with Sam fisher and before it was removed The Predator added some really good content

Recently reinstalled it to change up my gaming on console. Still thoroughly enjoying it after 5 or 6 playthroughs. The freedom wildlands gives is constant and as a little tip for new players: look over your load out and see what weapons tickle your fancy and note where they're located. You can go to all areas of the map from the get go and its great to get the guns you want straight away. This goes for attachments too, so have a good gander over any attachments you'd like and then go intel hunting. You'll have your dream load out within an hr 👍

Compare that to the fact that I still have 2 hours of the Breakpoint demo that I got at the same time because it is utter crap in comparison! I played this non stop when it came out. Fell off Came back 2 years later and it was like a totally different game. Ended up playing it for a while then switched to Breakpoint. But I will say Wildlands really felt better and a more immersive game.

The only thing i don't like is when u use faction mortar in like 400 or 800mtrs away from area they immediately know ur location. (Mortar will fire near target area so no way to know ur location) Same with Body Found situation. No matter how far u are reinforcement cars arrive behind you.

completed it last week, when i first got it i was unsure how to progress, left it for a few years came back to it in 2023 and wow, great graphics and gunplay. flew threw it, loved it. bought the dlc last night, makes it even better. excited for more but dont understand why there is not a wildlands 2. Expand the map maybe take us back to 1967 NAM. would be tremendious with the right soundtrack. its so easy to come up with a winning idea, how come its not been done. Wildlands vietnam. could be the most epic game of all time. and you already have/own the template UBISOFT. do it!!!

The multiplayer pvp aspect was also really good with the classes, abilities, and gadgets. My mates and I had a blast back in the day squading up against other players. But alas the MP player base was quite small, even 4 years ago and we'd chat on discord for 5+ minutes before a match was found.

It's strange, but I enjoyed the movement in Wildlands more. Yeah in Breakpoint it looks fancy, but you can't even crawl backwards nor can you turn where you want to look. Game is held back by long animations, unneccesary levels of long windups and such.

I found that if you don't issue any commands to the AI teammates, they won't get spotted. You can still use the sync shot btw.

Don’t forget the realism of the radio: you can listen to the weather report. And a far as repetitive missions there are really only three kinds of missions: raids, recon, and ambush. A hostage rescue is a raid, whether it’s surreptitious or bangarang…

Some guy: Stealth is hard. Me: Cleared a base by mostly killing everyone in their beds. Still the best game for me in terms of graphics, map and gameplay. EDIT: You should mention the first person mod next time or include some clips from that. It makes the game more immersive.

I love the daily routine the enemy has. In the evening they are usually eating together in the mess, with just a handful of snipers and other guards on the perimeter. At around midnight, the soldiers eating will go to bed. At around 7 AM (not sure about that) they will get back up and go back to work/guard. With the new time changing system, you can really pick the perfect time to attack.

I picked this up a couple weeks ago on GamePass and I'm pretty impressed to be honest, I've sunk a bit over 100 hours and it certainly doesn't feel like it. I'm not finding much on GamePass that I don't already have on Steam so I'll probably pick up Wildlands on Steam and play through again. Haven't tried CO-OP with other people, not sure how the human element affects gameplay but the A.I does a pretty good job once you get used to syncing shots and knowing when and where to put them.

Does anyone know what fps Wildlands plays on the Xbox Series X? Did Wildlands ever get a next gen update?

I loved this game since the launch trailer, but unfortunately I wasn't able to bought it, until 2020 that i bought the gold edition and i must say that this games really makes you feel like if you are in LATAM (I´m from Mexico). It feels very well, drive through the roads, start shootings in a town, use a helicopter to infiltrate into a base and etc. etc. The game its not perfect, but its enjoyable AF, and the best feeling of this game, is that you can go everywhere you want, you can cross a mountain and look a lot of new areas, and not like other games that warns you that you are leaving the combat area or things like that. If you, little person that is reading this, can buy it ¡DO IT! i can guarantee that would be a very good experience, and will be better if you play with your friends, acting like a real special forces agent or just like 4 random guys that came to Bolivia to kill some Narcos. (Sorry for my bad English, I'm trying to improve every day)

wildlands,farcry 5 and division 1 are still masterpieces. BP,fc6,div2 mehh are boring.Unistalled after a couple of hours to make space for replay the masterpieces

Only just managed to grab the Ultimate edition from Marketplace at a ridiculous discount (finished it years ago but never played the DLC). I was so utterly ticked off that I was back at my Gamestop the same day with GR Breakpoint... ....two months ago I bought it once more and with all the immersion settings cranked, auto-aim off and an hdr TV, it's the closest to what I wanted. Insane turn-around time. However, especially given the map size, the scant AI personality, the very loose narrative that needed beefing up.....I do miss several elements of Wildlands that didn't make the transition, and one of them you touched on : Nothing helps strengthen the narrative, pulls you deeper in AND leaves you feeling mighty pumped with it's style and raw coolness, like well-produced intros/briefings/overviews 👍 To me, I feel like Wildlands had a better idea of what it was about, the overall 'tone' to the game. Breakpoint felt, for lack of a better word, more serious than Wildlands.......and that is largely accomplished by the lack of flair and also because the narrative is very thin - although there's plenty of brief notes, emails etc., there aren't many plot-enriching elements. It's a solitary experience, and that's typically good with me, but Wildlands had a way of bringing out more fun and/or humour as I played.

Still playing it right now. The game’s good but when you install the first person mod the game becomes so fucking immersive it’s amazing. If you’re on console you’re seriously missing out

And there is a first person mod that just came out which is really well implemented. (Pc only) I never played because of third person so very happy to finally jump in.

Is this a game with continuous gameplay? Like a dynamic map where the enemy reclaim territory? A never ending sandbox? Or just all missions over and start again from mission 1 if you want to play again? The Division 2 endgame means you just keep going :)

Loved this game since it's launch. For me it's a must have shooter. Glad to see this making a come back. Hopefully Ubisoft will take the hint as they move forward developing and creating.

Just bought it for 10 euro. First I bought Breakpoint, but it was a horrible experience. Than I heard that wildlands is much better so I tried it. It's truly a masterpiece

How is the performance on ps5? Is it any better than base ps4?

There will be some improvement playing on a PS5 VS a base 4, however it will be relatively small. The game still runs at 30fps because it has not recieved a PS5 update. It will only run as well as it does on a PS4 pro!!

i decided to download the demo on ps4, haven’t played the game in around 4 years and even then my memories are extremely vague. i ended up changing my hud to be reminiscent of naughty dog games with some slight tweaks to still make navigating the world possible without being lost.

Recently jumped back in. Tier 1 still there. This is the only reason I bought a ps4 in 2019.
