A THOOMP sound can be when it is fired. Under the right atmospheric conditions you may hear a slight whistle. At least that is the way it was about 35 years ago. Thanks for listening.

There is a bloomp sound when they fire. If it's quiet and no other weapons fire you can hear them whistle. Don't know if it's all the time but I've heard it.
