I actually think the thing that makes ghost axe better than ghost flint, is not the fact that it is a damage increase over an attack speed bonus, I actually think it's more the fact that because it is a thrusting weapon, and not a swinging weapon, it simply has a way harder time actually getting those stat bonuses. Due to the way that swinging weapon work simply just giving you way more area of effect, because enemies aren't lined up in single file most of the time, and the fact that swinging weapons also just scale batter with attack speed then thrusting weapons too (animation for swinging weapons are just straight up faster with more attack speed). I genuinely think, if ghost flint was a swinging weapon, it would be significantly better than Ghost axe.

Dude this build is busted, I tried it after your video and i shredded through the enemies. I got so lucky to get two Tardigrades and the Retromation Hoodie, wich gives you 2% Attack Speed for every % Dodge. In the end i had a total of 244% Attack Speed. Great Video :)

For reference this run gained 24% damage from wave 9. Factoring in the small magazine purchase, the run came out 18% damage ahead.

I find range to be a good companion to attack speed on swing weapons, once you start doing massive AOEs being slower is not that big of a deal The only issue that when they start arcing so far away that they miss things right next to you.

you know what would be a cool character? a character that has 50% dodge modifications, but has the ability to get to 100% you need to put in a lot of work to get there, but you can just get a free win if you make it

Hey Retro, Can you demonstrate the attack speed difference between a melee weapon with range at -50 vs +50? While I understand the technical background of why range up is an effective attack speed decrease, I really think that you overdo worrying about range, even more so, since range upgrades are halved for melee weapons. Is there really that much difference? It feels like +50 range comes with maybe -1% attack speed decrease, but not more.

Weapon idea: boomerang 5 pierce Has a strange projectile path (goes a small ways forward then endlessly in the opposite direction) Does not bounce (maybe bounce is converted to pierce?)

“Stand still and 25% more attack speed” is pretty good on Ghost since you can face tank both D5 bosses

How much armor would you have to take for it to be worthwhile, starting at minus 100? Enjoying these runs

the problem is it scales horrible to begin with. the armor points between -10 and 0 scale the best. getting -80 armor instead of -100 is like 5-10% less damage you get. i would argue its not worth it at all.

This is one of my least favourite characters. Just don't enjoy the gamble on the dodge mechanic as a primary mechanic of the build.
