Ghost makes me feel so good, can completely lose myself in the lyrics, the instrumentals, the aesthetics and photography.

I’m 51 years old and have just came to the conclusion that ghost is my favorite band. Have heard their music on and off for years but about 3 months ago, dove Dee in their albums and lore and can’t stop listening to them. If you have ghost, you have everything.

This song has always had a Blue Oyster Cult-ish feel to me. LOVE that they FINALLY released it for streaming!

Big same on Ghost being my go-to band. Their sound is also surprisingly diverse across all of their albums while having the core that is Ghost across it all. There's literally a ghost album for every mood and I love that about them. Not many bands can pull that off. As for what you said about their live shows (i.e. rituals)? Hands-down the best concert I've ever been to, and that's after attending TONS of shows.

Oh my God. I was so stoked when Zenith came out streaming. I only got into Ghost at the end of 2022 and discovered this track on KZbin - a fan had uploaded it from their LP. I NEVER understood why it wasn't made more available in streams before. Tobias finally heard the fans, I guess. It's soooo good. I am nearly 64, I have played guitar in rock bands since 1975 (I have two gigs this weekend). I am completely hooked on Ghost now, they are also my go-to band for listening. Unlike other bands I've loved through the ages, what drew me in was purely the songwriting, the dark vibe, and not so much the guitar work (great though it is). In fact, there's no guitar solo on Zenith - but it doesn't need one! When there are solos in their songs, they are crafted and composed, and gorgeous, and serve the song.

Ghost has been my favorite band since I discovered them in 2019 (Dance Macabre came on the radio on my way to work and I never turned back). Surprisingly enough, I somehow managed to miss this song entirely and I thought I'd gotten all of them in my playlist. Just added it after watching this and it's definitely in my top favs (I'm a sucker for orchestral choirs in rock music). So glad to hear you were finally able to see them live! I only just got to see them the for the first time last year and it was one of the best experiences of my life. I'm also genuinely surprised that you guys never did a reaction to Year Zero. At this point I'm sure it wouldn't be a blind reaction, but damn, it's amazing. Seeing the lights go all red and everything just go so hard with everyone in the crowd screaming "Hail Satan" was a surreal experience. I will definitely be seeing them every chance I get at this point. Too fucking good, bro.

So happy to see your reactions! What do I love ?about Zenith, about Ghost? Freakin ~EvErYThInG~!!! 🔥🤘😜🔥

Good one again guys. I can recognize myself and my journey in your reactions.. Only that I started following them a few years back. I've been to 9 rituals as of now, with my first being Liseberg, Gothenburg, Sweden on the 27th of September 2014.. This music ticks off so many of my 80:s and even 70:s boxes. Tobias' talents at a musician, song writer, but first and foremost an entertainer are out of this world. I literately can not wait for the next chapter in the lore and music journey to reveal itself. Always enjoyed your reactions. You have some of the same musical references as myself, so I'm with you all the way. Highly appreciated.. I think you are ready for a reaction to "Twenties" (together with "Dominion" as the intro) from the Impera album. Keep them coming! Remember... As long as you have Ghost, you have everything.. 🤘 Edit: We've had Zenith in Europe on Spotify since Meliora (Redux) came in 2015 🙂 Glad it was finally available to the US. Brilliant song.. Brings chills to my spine even today..

Give the band Magna Carta Cartel a listen - Martin Persner (who was at one time a touring AND writing member of Ghost) revived MCC after he was fired from Ghost. Martin co-wrote this one (and Year Zero) with Tobias. The influence of Martin is all in the guitar riff that runs under the piano. It honestly sounds more like MCC than Ghost, which isn't a bad thing at all!

Why was he fired from Ghost? MCC is a great band btw!
@MattKrogmeier Жыл бұрын
@@adan1272 As far as why? That's between him and Tobias. I was always under the impression that he left of his own accord, but was told, in person, by another former Ghoul, that was not the case. Take that for what it's worth - it's all hearsay.

@@magnusblomqvist966He was not fired, he just left the band, also he wasn't against Tobias, he wasn't part in the process, but he didn't choose sides. He was never a fan of the band becoming famous too. Martin is a really cool guy.
@magnusblomqvist966 Жыл бұрын
@@devil_inplastic I know I meet him. I was invited to the release party of MCC:s latest album. And yes he was asked to leave and did not leave by his own choice. He talks about it in the swedish podcast Rockpodden.

No need for apology, it's rare to see a Ghost reaction withOUT any mispronounced titles. I find it hilarious 🤣 how Ghost chooses titles that everyone and their dog gets wrong or slightly off, so you are in good company!

Zenith is a great track, but I can see why they left it off Meliora. With Cirice being the centerpiece of that album, having this track also on the album doesn't make as much sense - I think there are some similarities - the vocal breakdown especially. But it's an embarrassment of riches when you leave off Squarehammer and Zenith from your album.
