I pre-ordered this whole set and they arrived a couple weeks ago. I really like this set overall. I’m one of those Ghostbusters super fans who legitimately believes it’s the greatest movie ever made. The joints on all of my figures were incredibly tight as well.

I know I won’t be able to resist if I run into a Veckman is some Wal Mart but Egon’s nice too; a little light brown wash for his boots and gloves and a yellow wash for this suit to bring out the details and they should look perfect. Too bad that Hasbro don’t do washes but the sculpt is all there

I preordered then I saw a few reviews and cancelled my order. The scale was issue and not including proton blast for all 4 ghostbusters is huge misstep. I do a bit of figure photography and scale kinda matters. its bad enough to try mixing star wars with neca. but this ghostbusters line next to neca is gonna be all bad.

I was excited about these figures when announced at Toy Faire. They still look pretty good overall with a clean design. I would make a few tweaks by adding different accessories. Yes, a neutron beam for all the guys would be epic for display. As you mentioned with the smaller size, an Ecto 1 vehicle would be great. This review sheds a bit of light on my day. Thanks, Robo!

A detailed and properly scaled Ecto-1 would be clutch. I splurged for the MEZCO set back when it came out but this would be a cool set for my 11 year old sun who recently discovered Ghost Busters. It is disappointing that Hasbro seems to constantly miss the mark by cutting corners (size, paint, etc.). They usually come close with sculpt and miss greatness with seemingly small decisions to penny pinch. The excuse that it's a $20 figure made on a limited budget doesn't make sense considering what they use to do and what other companies currently do under the same price point.

These figures are great I personally got a good deal on eBay for $110 the figures complete, loose and weirdly brand new like they were literally just taken out and sold even with the BAF pieces. Last night I did a nice wash on the figures but winstons suit doesn’t have any green in his wash which was because he was the first figure I washed and Ill just say Winston wasn’t there when they caught slimer.

I wasn't hugely excited for this wave when it was announced, I have a mini Ghostbusters dislpay with the Select Slimer, Terror Dog and that same Stay Puft bank used in this video so this line didn't really grab my attention despite my love of the film. However after having seen the whole wave sitting in my local comic shop for the last few months and lockdown being a thing again I decided to order them since they were all on sale, plus I feel like this is a flipside situation where you usually buy full waves but made an exception here, whereas I usually only buy one or two figures in a wave but this time bought the whole thing, mainly since I made some space for them and they're nowhere near as big as the Select figures, that and I rarely build full BAFs so I figured I'd finally make an exception to that rule.

I think i know why they have to scale it down a bit is because of the ecto 1. They have to ensure that these figures can fit in well to their main gigs coming in the near future. No clue if the GI Joe will get their vehicles though.

Egon is my favorite character too Robo which is why i didn't care if Bill Murray returned for Ghostbusters 3, he was just playing Bill Murray in those movies. Why oh why don't ALL of the 'Busters have proton streams? That's like having He-Man without his sword.

The good thing about the small size (other than the Ecto-1 hopes) is that the roof-top diorama, that I have from Diamond Select, will will be much roomier with these new guys on it.

Looking forward to these, and would love an Ecto-1 and a bunch of ghosts, but if they end up just releasing multiple different versions of the main characters, plus characters from the new movie, I definitely lose interest fast!

I snagged the whole wave, and I love them. They fit nicely with the Mattel figures, which I suspect is why they went smaller. But I have to say the Terror Dog isn’t worth it if you’re picking up say Zuul and Gozer for that reason. The sculpt is almost there, but I’m not big on how it looks posed, and the paint is pretty bad. Add in that it’s too large, technically, and, well...I have the NECA Zuul and Vinz, and they’ll continue to be my display Terror Dogs, I guess. They’re even ever so slightly smaller than this Vinz, which is funny since they’re 7” scale. It’s a shame Bandai never did any Figuarts beyond Stay Puft. I’d love to see what they’d do with a line.

Holy moley, you just shook loose a memory....there was a Bandai Stay Puft! I completely forgot about that! The other good thing about this, Veebs is a diehard Ghostbusters fan and has everything, if I feel the need to mess around I can always pay him a visit.

I’d say the best thing about Bandai only doing Stay Puft is my wallet. I’d be completely broke if I had to drop money on another set of Figuarts. I already collected their Sailor Moon Figuarts, Which is more money than I like to think about. I don’t even want to think how much I’d drop on Ghostbusters ones. It’s a shame NECA never did more than the dogs, Gozer, Slimer, and Puft, though. I’d love to have a set of Ghostbusters done by them. I can only imagine how amazing they’d look, even if given the time they’d likely be little more than statues.

I’ve got both of the LEGO sets for the original movies HQ and Ecto-1 and now I’ve got great ghostbusters figures even though Mezco’s figures are probably better

I had to trim about a couple mm off the back pack peg to get it closer to the body. It just seemed too far back and putting more stress on the straps.

I recently became a fan of Ghostbusters even though I’ve seen the movies a few times before. This viewing something just clicked and I could stop laughing. So, in true collector fashion I got the all four main characters (and I plan on getting the whole line. I agree with Fwoosh that there’s something missing with each of the figures. The photo real is bad on Venkman but really good on all the others and the height issue really bugs me. They’re all the same 5.7” and yes, it’s so they can all fit in the Ecto On (which I plan on getting), but that doesn’t help their shelf presence. I wish they’d scaled them correctly and made the Ecto One a bit bigger, or had some alternate legs so they could fit in the Ecto One and still stand at the correct height. I tried standing Egon (first one picked up) next Han Solo and Indiana Jones and he was way too short. Overall a good line with a few disappointing parts but not so many I won’t get the whole series.

I just got into action figures in the last month (even though I'm 37 I was never really an 'action figure' guy). But I picked up the McFarlane Toys One-Punch Man figure a few weeks ago on a whim and now I suddenly have 16 action figures. One of which is this Egon figure. Because it fit all my criteria, 6 inch, accurate likeness, a character a really like (Egon was always my favorite). This was a great review and echos a lot of my own opinions of the figure. I kind of like that he's a little short for 1:12 scale because i do mix my figures, and I like that he's a tiny bit smaller then the super-hero figures I surround him with. Egon will probably be the only figure of this line I get, but that's okay. Curious what 3 Age of Apocalypse figures you ended up with. I'm going to get the Morph figure at some point. As I really like Morph, and he'll go with my Blink as Exiles members (my kingdom for Mimic and Nocturne Legends figures someday).

I just got all 4 of the original ghostbusters (2 in hand and 2 being shipped) and yeah, it is a bit weird that they're slightly shorter than normal hasbro figures and I was very disappointed in the ecto 1 they did end up releasing since it wasn't 1/12 scale but 1/18, so it doesn't even scale with these figures.

I did end up finding all 4 of the main Ghostbusters at my local Target and I couldn't resist buying them all. Maybe its because I rarely every see anything good hanging on the shelves. I'm with you though. I'm not huge into the brand or movies and the 4 main characters are good enough. Then the competitionist side of me says to find the other 2 so I can get the demon dog baf. Ugh!

Ghostbusters is my favorite movie, but even still I can't decide if I want to collect this line. It looks good, but I'm poor and already collect a lot. That said, I do like the way they look. They're not perfect, but still good. I wish I could see what a second series would entail before deciding whether or not to go all in. I may just get caught up on the Pops line and not worry about the rest. :P

I must admit that I was hoping for figures that looked as good as the NECA 1990 Turtles, and with the close up shots of the face (glasses) and some of the paint apps throughout the figure - I must say I'm just a little disappointed this isn't better. But having said that, with the price they are selling for then it's probably the best we can hope for. But would I have paid an extra £10 per figure to ha e them look as good as the Turtles? Absolutely - ut after seeing this review, I'm in now mega rush to get these even at the lower price point............🤔........but they will sell out quickly no doubt

Those size comparisons don't really bother me. I kinda prefer my non-costumed characters to be a tad smaller, regardless of their real life size. Ultimately I guess it really depends on the difference between the tallest and shortest figure in this wave.... If they fudged everyone's height to about the same, I can live with it.

Dude also great self control only buying 3 from a wave. I do the same. I can't afford entire waves and half the time I dont like the BAF character anyway. So yeah it makes total sense to just buy the main 4 here (but if they release Rick Morannis with the brain wave reader and popcorn, gimme.) I also just have the 4 turtles from the 90s movie that neca released via gamestop. Ok would I like some foot soldiers? Sure but I'm ok with just the main characters. You will need at least the rest of the crew, I promise that you would feel so happy when you finally get all of them---they look so good together! And then you'll find that it's a good idea to get the rest to build the BAF, too! I was also disappointed when I saw the review from other youtubers originally ,feeling that they are too plain and small, but when I got the whole wave, I can't stop posing them, changing poses and taking photos. But for the people who get the DST ones or mezco ones, I would recommend to stick with those, DST got great paint job and details, Mezco are with real jump suit and sound and light effects on the proton pack.
