Isn't it crazy that, after waiting 32 years for a sequel to Ghostbusters II, we get a follow up to GB Afterlife in less than three years? Man, what a time to be alive.

Yeah it's just like Weezer. 1st album and film were excellent. 2nd album and film were underappreciated. 3rd album (Green) film (afterlife) pandering nostalgia popcorn. Let's hope this new GB film is a step in the right direction and not in the Weezer path. So far, I'm hopeful.

Yeah it is...and then you go deeper down into the comments and find that just like the slime fueled by the negativity of NYC in Ghostbusters 2, beneath the surface of all these excited fans looking foreword to this movie, there are a lot of completely miserable assholes that apparently have no dicks doing nothing but spew negativity towards a film that hasn't been released yet because it's 'a bunch of kids', 'repeating what the second movie did', 'nothing beats the original', 'franchise should have stopped with one movie because everything else was crap' and other bullshit opinions i've seen here and there from so called 'fellow ghostbuster fans'...that make you feel embarrassed and disappointed to hear these people claim to be fellow ghostbuster fans. Every fandom has them unfortunately, and they always come out like popup adds before a new release in the franchise the claim to love to tear it apart like vultures and judge a book before reading it...because they have no imagination to do anything else. I'd rather be associated with the former than the later, because I find these miserable, purist, uptight assholes to be an embarrassment to true blue GB fans like myself and others...and let me tell ya somethin, bustin makes me feel good!

I couldn't be more excited about a movie. I always knew there would be a time to do Ghostbusters with the modern movie making skills we have available. 2016, I get why people don't like it; I still laughed my ass off. GB Afterlife was an amazing love letter to OG fans and Harlod Ramis saying "Don't worry, this is our promise that we know what we're doing" with most nostalgia out of the way we can now do fresh GB stories and really open the future maybe get spin offs. I feel like the lore is so unexplored, yes I've seen the cartoons, comics and games, bit still a small universe really. I think the movies now have the benefit of no expectations to play with. And I couldn't be more excited.

That was really cool, but holy christ did that clip alone justify Walter Peck's complaints. That big bastard was swinging around without much difficulty; one wrong turn and that stream could've sliced through one of those buildings.

@@EternalRomanWe'll have to see. In another trailer, we know Peck is back, so they aren't getting away with it scott-free (and Gary is playing Venkman's role of making light of Peck's authority). We've also see Venkman and Janine, so it's not purely just the grandchildren. They're younger and have more 'potential' though, so that's I think why they're getting the spit-shine treatment. We'll see. I'm optimistic about the movie.

Editing mistake, at :55 seconds they show the ghost trap deployed and emitting the cone of light, and a few seconds later, Phoebe's mom fires up the drone trap and starts to fly it.

This looks great 'n' all- really... but i wish they brought back Rob Simonsen for the score. Like- I heard like two complaints that it was almost identical to the '84 film... but along with like half the plot: Gozer and whatnot, but he still brought something new with the score too... just sad they couldn't bring him back... this new one sounds... a bit generic (?) Idk but- like- off, maybe its just the editing...

I don't know why but I feel like Venkman is gonna die this movie as Bill Murray's awesome career winds down. I think I can't get it outta my head from a previous script before they did the all female 1 which Sony and everyone is like here let's sweep this under the rug😂. Which they couldn't do a all female part 2 because all the original Ghostbusters played different characters as cameos in it. Anyways sorry for rambling about nothing I love this scene and hope this 1 takes us on another fun ride like afterlife did because I loved that cause the nostalgia and everything hung in with the original. I hate Jason is not directing though even though he did help write and produce it so I hope his thumbprint on it helps it alot

Frozen Empire looks better than Afterlife for 2 reasons. 1. it's in New York and 2. the villain is original. reusing Gozer for Afterlife was weak. the actress that played Gozer in Afterlife was bad. Afterlife was a decent movie for today's low standards and mediocre moviemaking but it would've been so much better with an original villain. I like the whole mountain angle though. However, Afterlife fell apart when Gozer, the dogs & the mini marshmallow men returned. also, busting the final ghost should've happened on top of or inside the mountain. Haha, the final battle taking place right outside the house was very lame
