The Boogeyman episode was creepy asf!! I got the Real GhostBusters animated series vibe as well for this sequel! I like the whole gozer/Sumerian/entity/gods/extra dimensional/fallen angels mythology approach! Hope it’s another baddie that’s similar and on that level or tied to gozer! It should be like Indiana Jones with it’s different adventures, mythology/origins of certain forces, & history etc!

Hey Jason, I looked through the Ghostbusters Official Tobin's Spirit Guide, and I found a few ghosts that could be featured. The first is Idulnas, pg 84, who's character design has the horns and appears to have ice crystals all over his body. And this is most likely the main antagonist because since Gozer, Vinz, and Zuul were all featured last movie, considering this is the thrid minion of Gozer, he might want revenge. Another ghost is the Cathulu, on page 74, where its said that "The demigod itself manifested near Coney Island; it was slow-moving and enourmous..." and "Cathulu's prescence also fouled the weather, causing a lightning storm to form despite the clear skies that had existed just moments before.". Another idea that I highly doubt is the possiblility, but just a thought, are The Collectors, on page 46. And about that library lion possesion, I believe that could've Rall, on page 44 or just be some form of an animal spirit, on page 29. In case you couldn't tell, I'm a major nerd for these things 😂

I love this trailer and Love seeing the OGs and Spengler's family carry on the family business.and it's been a long time since I've been excited for a movie but Ghostbusters always gets me excited . The team is larger which means they can cover more of New York and after seeing lucky get frozen , I hope none of the Ghostbusters die in this movie.

I was excited to see the new movie before the teaser. Now I'm impatient and extremely excited. Actually, the lion statue coming to life reminded me of 2 things: the lions in the RGB episode Mrs. Rogers Neighborhood (S1E3). it also reminded me of the Library level in Ghostbusters the Video Game.

I like how they used bananarama's 'Cruel Summer' in the opening of this trailer (I only hope that it is actually in the film somewhere), using the song is ironic in several ways 1. The title can imply that is is going to be taking place over the summer and the events happening may be cruel to some. 2. The original music video by Bananarama was filmed in Brooklyn New York (where a good portion of the original Ghostbusters and looks like this upcoming movie were filmed) 3. This song was also used in the movie 'The Karate Kid', which came out in 1984 - which was the same year the original Ghostbusters came out.

I am worried that they may kill off some of the cast in this movie cause it’s evident that this movie will be different than the others because neither Goozer or Vigo couldn’t actually kill anyone during the stages of the movie (minus the demon dog killing egon and that Moron shandoor who thought he could rule with Goozer in ghostbusters afterlife) and It’s already evident that this death chill entity can rack up a body count with ease I honestly don’t want to see any Ghostbusters old or new bite it in this movie I just personally like the idea of the OG’s being kind of like what Bruce Wayne was to Terry McGinnis in Batman beyond ,mentors and trainers, but too old to get out in the danger zone anymore , with My worries aside I am WAY TOO HYPED for this movie. #Ghostbusters

Anyone else think that Lucky always seems to get the worst of it when it comes to the kids? In Afterlife she gets turned into a terror dog and doesn’t really get to help in the final battle. Here she gets frozen, probably preventing her from helping in the final battle again.

I'd imagine that might actually be the point. A hidden little joke just like Luis Tully continually getting locked out of his apartment throughout the entire 1st film. Then when he becomes the Keymaster and goes up to Dana's door, it literally just blows open.

Regarding James Acaster, the two shots of him are interesting, esp the one of him in the red coat, clearly hes got a name badge on and hes wearing a pack so hes either already part of the team or comes on board during the movie. Ive heard loads of theories of him being oscar, which i doubt, but would be fun.

I personally like how the movie's change to the gadgetry and uniforms does tie in nicely with Illfonic's "Spirits Unleashed" game. This being that Dan Aykroyd and Ernie Hudson reprised their roles in that video game that allowed customization. In my opinion, it is one of those franchises that say anyone can be a Ghostbuster if they put their heart and soul into it and are allowed to add their own flair. My wife recently went to visit a local children's hospital with Batman, Boba Fett, and a sand trooper. One of the patients only wanted to see a woman cosplayer in her room. My wife had her own personal customization and flair to her costume for our group. Fingerless gloves, bandana, steampunk goggles, and baseball cap. 501st Legion, I don't see as much room for such customization.

That's one of the great things about GB cosplay. You're not cosplaying a character, you're being yourself as a Ghostbuster. Add your own spin to it. The 501st, Rebel Legion and Mando Mercs all do amazing work, but they're very strict about the look of characters. You have to have a similar look or build to the character you're cosplaying to meet their standards.

If you look at the straps of Phoebe’s Proton Pack as she’s standing next to the pole, those are not alice frame straps. Instead, they look just like the stock straps that came on the Hasbro HasLab Spengler’s Proton Pack.

If you recall the 'moving of Heaven and Earth' that it took to get Bill Murray involved in Afterlife, this movie has SPECTACULAR written all over it. Bill must be really impressed with it to get him interested enough to reprise the Venkman role once again. That, to me, is a very good omen.

We can't ignore the choice of 'Cruel Summer' in the soundtrack as blatant foreshadowing! It works, too, thanks to Cobra Kai bringing the song back to the world via it's original use in Karate Kid and then a remade version also in the CK series. I just realised that Sony are tied to all 3 properties... Bananarama gettin' some royalties again! :)

Man Ghostbusters is upping the danger! While the ghosts in the first few movies caused mass hysteria, scared a bunch of people and there was collateral damage for sure, I never truly got a feeling that innocent people were stomped to death by Stay Puft, for example. The whole Stay Puft scene had a comedic air to it. This is the first movie that really makes me feel like this big ghost is causing civilian casualties... In the thousands...

I'm very concerned about 2 things. 1) Lucky! I've seen no comments concerning their safety... I am very worried! 2) The ice spikes split the firehouse ground floor in two. This could be just the cut of the edit, but it almost looks like the next generation Ghostbusters are on the side with the lockers, and the original Busters on the other side. Venkman's shot is on that side. I'm worried!

I think one reason why the ecto 1’s pipe on the driver side is sliver because it was probably its original color but in the first film in 1984 and after the paint probably faded off like the white paint on the ecto in the afterlife movie and it looks why more like one of those store sliver pipes that are a little rough

I hope they don't do that. Especially after Murray talked about it for years with all the failed attempts at a third movie. It would just be cliche. and unnecessary imo. It's a Ghostbusters movie. You obviously want there to be some stakes, but I think killing off any of the OG's is unnecessary. It worked for Afterlife and made sense with Harold Ramis's real life passing, but I hope with the others still being around they just retire or ride off into the sunset on their own terms.

I'm going to make a HUGE Prediction. If I'm wrong, I'm wrong. If I'm right, WOW, just wow! I think James Acaster is playing Oscar as an Adult. His character dies somewhere/how around the beginning, or middle. Peter does something to bring him back. Be it trading his life for his, or something that Kills off Peter. This could be the reason Paul Rudd drops the Peter Dying spoiler. Or I could be talking out my ass. All in all. I CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS!

Is anyone thinking this villain might actually be death itself? Ray refers to the death chill, we know people die during the freeze on NYC, the image towards the end reminds me of alot of depictions where death is quite tall and imposing, might make sense if they intend to write out a few or all of the old cast which leads into my next point, given how many times the boys in grey have fought off the end of the world, death might be feeling cheated at this point giving them an excuse to sacrifice themselves to save the rest of the city feeling responsible for putting the city into the situation they might find themselves in, it would feel like a good way for them to go I think. This was just a shower thought and wanted to have some fun with it.
