I love Scalon/Scallion (The boss at 4:11 -ish) his expressions are menacingly adorable! I also am of such a mood about being woken up unexpectedly too. My online jabberwock mascot/persona took some cues from his design as well, especially the face!

Excellent playthrough. I've always seen gameplay pictures of this video-game adaptation of _Ghostbusters_ , but I've never played it. While I know some artistic liberties had to be taken, I'm disappointed that Winston Zedmore is absent from the game, not to mention that I'm disappointed that Sega and Compile didn't make Gozer the Gozerian the final boss, but did have a wannabe in the game. Keep up the good work. EDIT/ADD: I forgot to add that, ironically, Sega made a _Ghostbusters_ rip-off for the arcades and the Master System a year earlier called _Laser Ghost_ .

Compile also made the Master System port of the Activision Ghostbusters computer game, and it's MUCH better than the NES port by Bits

I really enjoyed this game's goofy interpretation and rented in quite a bit in the short time I spent with SEGA before I got a Super NES. I owned the Atari 2600 one and while this is much better as a game than that previous attempt I do think it has more value in it's weird ambition than this does in it's more conforming playability.

Hell yes dude, I love this game. It was easily the best way to bust ghosts at home until, say, Ghostbusters: the Video Game. A lot of creativity abounds here with the wacky and cool ghost designs that the movie only wished it had. This game wore its heart on its sleeve for such an early Genesis game, and I used to listen to its wonderful soundtrack quite a bit. It's so nostalgic.

As we know, this game is clearly based on the events that happened after Ghostbusters 1, however it doesn't note the events of Ghostbusters 2, which suggests there were no major cases after the defeat of Gozer. So, the Sega game conflicts with the events of GB2. The game also conflicts with the reappearance of Stay Puft in the 2009 Ghostbusters video-game, as Ray noted it wasn't him this time, which itself doesn't suggest that the Stay Puft in this game happened. The Sega game also does not follow the canon of The Real Ghostbusters, as the episode "Citizen Ghost" takes place right after the events of GB1. It is concluded the Sega game is only canon in a timeline that includes the first film by itself.

And it was also the first GB game to have an original plot which seems to act like a bridge between the first and second movie. What's funny is that early Sega Genesis posters billed the game as Ghostbusters II before getting rid of the Roman numeral and just leaving it as Ghostbusters.

Other than the unfortunate lack of Winston, this is probably the best of The Ghostbuster Video Games until Atari's 2009 Ghostbuster Game, with the sole exception of course being Hal Lab's New Ghostbusters 2.
