Hi there! This is my first time on this channel and really intrigued by the urban legends. Some more from Bengal, Bihar belt are the following : 1) Nishi'r daak or the call of Nishi who lures their victims into secluded areas by calling to them with the voice of a loved one and to harm the victim 2) Brahmadaitya - These are one of the most popular ghosts in Bengal who are considered benevolent, as they are believed to be the spirits of Holy Brahmin. 3) jokkho: Warrior-like entities who are guardians of treasures within the earth. They are considered to be benevolent, able to bestow fertility and wealth upon their devotees. There is a commonly used Bengali idiom - Jokkher Dhon (literal meaning: Jokkho's Wealth) which means "protecting a beloved person" or "safeguarding precious wealth". These are some of the many.

Lalarona was a beautiful girl of a village who married a rich merchant and had two babies. But as he was a merchant he used to stay out of the house. Later the wife came to know that he cheated her and will never come back. So he drowned her kids and then killed herself in the same way. It is said that when she reaches the door of the heaven, God said to bring back his kids so she hunt children in search of her kids.

In goa we call rakhandar as "Devchar" and not only in the goa even a konkan belt like sindhudurg and ratnagiri they call him Devchar. There is a city called Mapusa which is in the north goa, we have temple of Rakhadar called Bhodgeshwar and not only Hindu but also catholic community belive in him and during jatra you will find people from other religion visit this temple.

Sar kata is a story directly copied from the Headless Horsemen story from Sleepy Hollow an actual town called Tarry Town in New York. It use to be a German soldier whose head was cut off and there’s an actual bridge at this location it’s said that if you cross over and go on the other side which leads to forest you might encounter the Headless horsemen, I went and didn’t feel any of that, but it’s a cool small town people flock around from all over to this quaint town during Halloween szn, been going there for 3 years straight, will report back if I encounter anything.

Sarba Bhaiya, the story u shared abt Dahani is actually true, I Just wanted to add one more point about her, they also live underwater and are known to pull the legs underwater of people who disrespect them. Yes, they eat human shit on Amavasya nights and a white light around them is present. They are also known as 'Tandhae' in some regions of western Odisha.

9:54 there is a similar story popular in west bengal called 'nishir daak ' where an old lady calls u with ur loved ones voice and if u answer u she will take u somewhere either kill u or injure u... Thus is the reason humme bola jata hai agar midnight ko koi 3 baar bulaye toh hie answer karna nhi toh maat karne 😅 woh kyu leke jati hai aur kya karyi hai woh kisiko nhi pata 🤦🏻‍♂️

In my mum's village there is a very old temple...like half destroyed temple... where the bhairav baba resides he is considered as goan ke rakshak deity and if there is any function at anyone's home they have to first invite baba and after the function is over they go to temple to thank , take blessings and offer him liquor and weed .

lol this reminded me if the idk hoax or what I was around 12-13 when in bengal the "Piyaj Buri" (Old lady with Onion) became the talk of the town and it really did creep me out, the story was one old lady used to go house to house to beg for onions to have rice with and whoever used to go to get it for her would come back and see the family member dead and the way to repent her was Have Om in front of house and It was actually happening that every house was making OM in front of their home.

As being a Malwani I have an incident to share about ‘Devchaar’ . 4-5 years ago when I was in Malwan for a puja in a village called ‘Tirawde’ , my uncle shared this incident where he parked his car near our house and the next morning its place was changed and no one even moved or touched the car . It is believed that every night ‘Devchaar’ roams around the village and removes anything which comes in his way . There is particular path which he takes every night and guards the village .

Humare yaha, In Sagar Karnataka, we have our Devi here Maramma/ Marikamba.. she's the deity of the town .. 3 years mein ek baar yaha jatra hota hai for 15 days. It is the second biggest Jaatra here in Karnataka, many rituals happen, Devi ke 2 temples hai one is like the maikka of the goddess and another one is her sasural The story goes like this.. the goddess gets married and goes to the sasural.. the goddess is from the Brahmins family and her husband is a cobbler she happens to know about her husband's occupation later after marriage and she feels betrayed. So, she kills her husband and her son who takes the form of an ox and goat 🐐 respectively, in anger.. She's said to be guarding that place Many rituals happen here for the Jatra and interesting one ritual is that her 16 ft murti is first kept in the maternal home (maikka) from there she is taken to the sasural after marriage rituals and when they try to take her to sasural, her 16 ft murti doesn't move even an inch even after trying many times.. Some people from the other temple comes as Sasuralwale and scolds her, gaali dethe hai (it's a part of the rituals) only after that the murti moves Woh murti saare town mein ghoomkar jab sasural pohochte hai tab.. the face of the Devi's idol literally darkens its colour from red to deep red as she gets angry for bringing her to sasural.. And on the 15th day they leave her in the forest, while she leaves, she hands over the responsibility of protection of the town to her sister Yellamma and then leaves.

If it would be possible i request u guys to look into muffett family case (maybe i misspelled). I was terrified when i heard about it in a podcast. The title of the podcast was "Mr entity" and i wanted to know what did u guys think about it. I can give u a brief account of it. The muffiet family had three houses and in one the family's house the grandma lived. The nurse who was taking care of her was performed a ritual from her culture that triggered the entity to come. And she was terrifeid . She said she did the ritual so the grandma would survive but she eventually past away. Now started the activity. It was first limited to 1 st house(grandma's house) then reasched second house and at last the third (family house). And the entity wanted the mother of the family's soul. Cause the family member were communicating with entity through mirrors they get to know about that he wanted the mother's life. It was something of past life connection. I would really really love to see u guys covering this case cause the said case is said to have a very ancient entity in hand. And all. Thanku and best of the luck for the future

Devchar/ Rakhandar are the same thing. Our Kuldevi is from Konkan, can't reveal the name here but I can DM you. Our Kuldevi temple is in an unknown place in Konkan, very old temple, Shivkalin. During those times it was difficult to protect the Wadi (plantations) so they used to appoint certain entities/ deities for it. Some families still practice that. Many people with ill notions in their mind have seen things in the Wadi at night. Also, ik many accounts where people have seen Devchar and have been helped out by him. Konkan ka most famous ghost is Bayangya/ बायंग्या, a ghost bought for material things but takes away a life if things go south.
