Raekwon was in the early stages of getting a Wu movie off the ground following the success of Straight Outta Compton that would’ve aimed to involve the whole team. But then Rza went ahead and struck a deal for the Hulu show, basically without much consultation of the others. That’s why most of them consider it ‘Rza’s story’ rather than a Wu-Tang show. Raekwon’s autobiography explains a lot about their ambivalence or even antipathy towards the show.

This proves all the reasons why as damn good as a group the Wu was they could've been greater. That show would have you cheering proudly for the brothers and then cursing some of them out. Now we know why Meth was the most successful out the clan, along with The Abbott. The show actually made me appreciate them. WuTang forever 👊🏾

I never watched and for the same reason. I’m glad Ghostface feels the same. 😊

Clearly, all of the members’ input was not queried for that Hulu series. 💯 to Ghostface for keeping it a stack about the situation… Does RZA take extra liberties as the “group leader” when everyone may not feel like he is the “leader” of the group??? 🤔

I respect that. It’s a shame that he never got his direct input. Thing is I know he has a story to tell. All of the INDIVIDUALS who ARE WU-TANG CLAN have a story to tell. They should all do they own shit!!

Ghostface is my favorite member, but If all the members of Wutang had to vet their characters/lines, or give their input, it would never come out...

I would be pissed too if I was being depicted in the story and no one even got my two cents like how you gonna tell my story better than me
