Honestly needs a re-release or little remaster this game is full of so much personality and is perfectly casted and acted and needs a second chance

The fact that the protagonist has crow's feet when he smiles is oddly impressive for the ps2.

I know right? This game has some top tier wrinkles
@lordtomtom9 ай бұрын
Maybe because it was one of the few ps2 games that supported higher definitions.

It was one of my first games I bought for my ps2 back in 2000s, great to see it being reviewed on YT

Another fun video man. Those graphics show off just how powerful the PS2 could be

I was looking for a channel that speaks about older games and play through it like TotallyPointlessTV or Josh Strife Plays . I think you are on the good path so keep on .

Okay, I'm really enjoying your videos. Obscure, fun, informative. I'm glad I stumbled onto your channel.

The game's graphics and animation still look fantastic even 2 decades later.

This game for its time looked amazing and still has aged well today. A totally underrated hidden gem for the PS2

I loved how the game let the cop actually keep his service pistol after the intro cutscene/gameplay unlike many other supernatural horror games as a security blanket, only to find out it's useless against ghosts outside of a few specific enemy types. The handgun even has infinite ammo to rub it in.
@Lanslet9 ай бұрын
I don't know man, the pistol was pretty reliable for me, because of its infinite ammo. Terrible damage, sure, but still usable.

@@Lanslet It's been more than a decade for me, but what I remember was that it didn't do anything to the starter ghosts

Good job! You cover some interesting games i havent seen talked about in many places. Some feedback would be: Incorporate some clips of in game dialogue/sound and go through the story more!
@Lanslet9 ай бұрын
Thank you! I'll try incorporating more of the game's audio in the upcoming videos. As for the story, I try covering the basic parts of the plot to avoid heavy spoilers as much as I can.
@Antenn19 ай бұрын
No worries. You can always section it off with a spoiler warning. I consume copious amounts of these types of videos before sleep so i'm starting to run out haha@@Lanslet

I recently came across an old ps2 game in my storage called Metal Arms: Glitch in the System. It was an under rated absolute gem. Anyone else in the comments remember this game? Lanslet should absolutely do a review of that game if you can find a copy of it!!
@Lanslet9 ай бұрын
Yeah, I've played Metal Arms before, a fun little game. It's been added to my backlog!

The game still looks amazing after all these years, and I've finished it twice years ago, first on the PS2, then by emulation (PCSX2). Gameplay was fun & challenging, the story & setting really drew me in, and the voice acting of the characters were solid good. The protagonist, Lazarus Jones, voiced by Rob Paulsen, I best remember in shows like Saber Rider, TMNT 1987, and the Gummi Bears. Ghosthunter is no doubt a very overlooked and forgotten classic. I would definitely play this much more if it had a PC port, but that's just wishful my wishful 2 cents.

This was a real sleeper hit for me. One of those games I had no idea about that I picked up from the used game section and had a blast with. Same as Shadowhearts that got me hooked on the series, especially after realising it was a sort of sequel to Koudelka on the PS1 that I loved.

Don't worry about it too much, the retro game market is a fickle mistress
@michealjennings43749 ай бұрын
Haha. This game kicked so much butt! Simple silly little touches of horror but never too serious like a base b movie in the 90s or ,80s fun grind house horror and. Evil dead like approach too the story still a favorite from the ps2 love to get a copy again one day. ❤️
