This video pays homage to the brave west point Cdt Thomas Michael Surdyke. Who put aside his safety and attempted to save a drowning stranger..tragically however, losing his life in the process. I understand your feelings buddy. Im from the Indian Army.. i myself lost a friend during training at the Officers Training Academy. Cdt Rony Scaria..who lost his life as a result of brain hemmorage after winning a boxing match for his company and fellow cadets. He fought till the very end..like a true fearless warrior. We may be continents and oceans apart.. but i feel your pain. May their souls rest in peace.

I don't know a single person in this video, but I felt it. And, I will respect all who have passed. This made me cry, may you all rest in peace.

Thank you for displaying in full -- at 2:10 -- the motto of Easy Company: Facilis Venire, Facilis Exire (Easy come, easy go). I was a member of that Company (E-2) during my entire 4 years. A great bunch of guys!!!

William Scherr not just at West Point, but all the Academies and Senior Military Colleges. Your brothers and sisters that you fight long and hard with, whether that be in the service or while training to become a future military officer, will ultimately marry you and burry you.

The brotherhood and the passion for their country and countrymen, I've always wanted to be a West Point Cadet but I guess now it's only just a dream.

I can only say this is truly an honorable tribute. but then again all those who enter those hallowed halls understand what it means, to be willing to give their life for someone else, and to command others around them who are like minded. long live Thayer's dream on the Hudson. DUTY, HONOR, COUNTRY
