This intro hit different, this was my first Army Navy. My dad grew up about an hour outside of West Point and never got the chance to see the game until this year. Our family was mutual friends with two other families who each had a kid who went to navy and West Point in the same class. We decided to get tickets and fly to Philly for the game. It was truly incredible, bucket list scratched off for sure

Same thing when the game was played in Baltimore, I went, did the pre game charity fundraiser for Tailgate for Troops which I donated $25. They build houses for injured servicemen. I know we have Air Force as well but there’s something special about Army vs Navy that can’t truly be explained. The game itself creates an atmosphere full of pride and spirit that you can’t find anywhere else. I don’t care what college city you travel to. When it’s Army vs Navy you realize that this is more than just a game. As CBS has said the game celebrates the choices that our fellow brothers and sisters had made to sacrifice life for country. I understand that we wouldn’t want to see them die but you can’t help but be proud of them for standing up for our country. God bless them and their families. Can’t wait to watch this game again in December of this year.

I know how much work and preparation it takes to get into West Point, Naval Academy, and Air For e Academy. I don’t know about the people that are supposedly being portrayed here, but this is a process that starts as early as age 10. Perhaps it’s different for athletes, but the effort and teamwork between the child, parents, teachers, coaches, and mentors does not happen overnight. Just the application process alone coupled with the process to get a nomination is not something the child does alone. This commercial paints the picture where the family was totally clueless and that their kid just decided to go to Army/Navy. I call BS.
