There’s nothing modest about dancing on tiktok in hijab for views.. Hijab is more than a scarf!

I'm a convert to islam and I find it slightly offensive if someone says " did I convert/revert for a man? " .... because I am able to make my own decisions for myself, not just for approval from someone else. It's a huge spiritual journey and a big life change, you need to do it for yourself and your own heart needs to be in it. However I know the brothers didn't mean any harm in being curious. I just think we need to be slightly more open-minded that (especially a woman wearing the hijab) may have taken this path for their own personal reasons, not just for a man. Also, it slightly degragates the faith, if people can't see the reason why anyone would want to join .... if it wasn't for a partner ??? Don't you think ? There are many beautiful teachings in islam that makes it appealing.... not just for the sake of marriage. But I understand why people have this common misconception. ... just please be mindful when speaking to converts because it could come across like you think they can't make a choice for themselves 😅.

Not Muslim. But I will tell you a toxic marriage can actually ruin your children. My parents had a terrible marriage when my brother and I were kids, still do. They had plenty of money, so that wasn't a problem. All the constant fighting and hitting, them always cussing and hitting us. Everyone was miserable in our house. My brother started drinking very young, I think as an escape. I followed suit, but I chose heroin first. We couldn't escape our environment, but we could escape our bodies. We both controlled it very well. We were able to do decent in school. Stay out of trouble. Nobody really knew. Eventually, it all came to a head. We both went to rehab. He committed suicide four years ago, I think he couldn't ever love himself. Or anyone else. I do blame them, and they would have been better off divorced. Sometimes you should actually do it for the kids.
