"I was known for making men under me happy." Pre-Out Issac had the best double entendres.

The way they immediately adopted "going down on us" as a way of saying someone went to hell was one of the few jokes I think the US Ghosts did better. It's so sudden it feels like a spur of the moment addition instead of a pre planned joke by the ghosts.

Contrary to Issac though, Von Steuben played a VITAL role in the Revolutionary War. He was Prussian and a war veteran. Using what he knew, he whipped the troops into shape. He is directly credited with the marked improvement in the fighting forces. He taught them how to fight and be an army rather than a bunch of farmers, merchants, and whatnot. His techniques, tactics, military discipline, and drills influence the American armed forces TO THIS DAY.

The mechanics of going down do seem to parallel the way the system for redemption and the bad place works by the end. That one businessman kept getting tortured in order to make him change for the better, and based on elias' going down it seems like the ghosts have to be ghosts until they either change for the better or go down

Super biased, but American humour just lands better internationally than British humour, which is why this version is so much more relatable and therefore, funnier.
@kethrytamra37072 ай бұрын
I have noticed that a lot of people prefer the British version. I actually got bored with it after the third episode. I hated the husband, Mike (which is sad because I like the actor Kiell Smith-Bynoe). I also found Alison kind of bland and a little annoying. I watched about half of the fourth episode before giving up. I made it to the end of the second season/series with the American one. I loved Sasappis, we have a similar sarcastic sense of humor. But, in the end, it too got old.
@mrar50532 ай бұрын
Depends on country I quess. (not to mention individuals). Humor is so much up to personal tastes. I live in Finland, and I would say we tend to prefer British humor here in nothern side of Europe. It's usually more dry, sarcastic, and weird like our own tends to be 😅. Personally I'm more of a fan of British humor as well. I feel like American style of humor is sometimes a bit too obvious and predictable while British throws you some weird curveballs you never expected, which makes it more hilarious. Depends on the show and writing, obviously. I have only seen some clips of Ghosts but it seems really funny. 😂 I would be interested to check out both versions.
