Gwisin is just a word meaning ghost, not a type. We have Cheonyeogwisin which means 'virgin ghost', ghost of female who died in virgin. Also there was Chang-gwi, ghost of tiger's victims, who were believed to lure other people to become victim of tiger.
@list_data2 жыл бұрын
Gwisin are a type of spirit or ghost in Korean folklore. They are considered similar to a Yogoe and Mamul, they are people who have died, not monsters or creatures such as Dokkaebi. According to tradition, Gwisin may be found in many places. It is claimed that when an individual dies but still has ties to the world of the living, such as in the case of revenge or caring for a loved one, their spirit remains on earth to complete the task before going on to the underworld.

Jiangshi are very cruel and smart, they are the people who are feeling too negative before dying, so they wanted to kill living people. They would drag their victims to their base and then torture them to death. They are like an eastern version of vampires, except they are opportunists. They will snatch people while they are sleeping at night in order to make no sounds, smarter Jiangshi s can speak fluent human language and casting spells. But they have weakness, their weakness is “Yang”, which means sun’s energy or Hamon. Greater versions can withstand sunlight, but not hamon. To undeads, hamon are deadly.

You could of used, mythical spirits instead of ghost. But to clarify the Dwende from my country they're gnome like creatures who live in mounds which are similar to ant hills, and it is advised to not step on their ant hills lest you want to be cursed, and when passing by you say "tabi tabi po nuno" this phrase could be used for when passing by a local spirits(without the nuno which means little people) territory to not disturb their presence.

Ifrit is real, it's the most powerful jinn! And those aren't ghosts, those are called urban legends!
@list_data2 жыл бұрын
The word ifrit derives from the Quran, but only as an epithet and not to designate a specific type of demon. The term itself is not found in pre-Islamic Arabic poetry, although variants such as ifriya and ifr are recorded prior to the Quran. Traditionally, Arab philologists trace the derivation of the word to عفر (ʻafara, "to rub with dust" or "to roll into dust"). It is further used to describe sly, malicious, wicked and cunning characteristics.
