Awesome videos! I assume your buddy is a guide or Alaskan resident/kin? How did you get around the non resident not being able to hunt mountain goats? Is there a unit that doesn't require a guide/kindred?
@DecisiveOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
Thanks man! I moved to Alaska last summer, I attained my AK residency this year. He’s just a good friend I invited along for the hunt.

Thanks man, one thing you can’t see is the 1000+ foot drop only a few feet away. (In the opposite drainage of base camp) I’ve seen goats run right off cliffs after the first shot, didn’t want that happening to this guy. The first shot was lethal and in different terrain I would have let him run, bed and die. Just not here.

@@DecisiveOutdoors oh yeah most definitely! You smoked that 4x3! That’s massive for that island. Can’t beat a 2 in 1 trip!

Store the meat in the back back cover? Doesn’t seem like much meat for the size of the animal. Where is the rest of the meat? Before anyone says, “ what do you know anti hunter”. I’m 72, hunted my whole life, spent 8 years in Alaska and I’m not at all opposed to hunting in fact 100% in favor. I just hope what we harvest we take it all out. If not we’re just adding fuel to the fire to those who want to take our rights away.
@DecisiveOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
It was all the meat, that goat was smaller than that blacktail I shot. That cover will fit over 90L backpack. You’re making some bold accusations there Tim.

@@DecisiveOutdoors your right and if I’m wrong, I apologize. I think of four legs, boned of course, straps, heart and liver, it looked small. However, boned is a different story.
