Welcome to Ghosts of The London Underground Part 2
For Part 1, please click here:
• Ghosts of The London U...
Today, we look at the hauntings and stories of three lesser-known London Underground Stations. Who is the mysterious figure on the platform at West Brompton? Was a man murdered at the station for his money? Do the war time cries from the terrible crush in 1943 still haunt Bethnal Green Underground station? Who else appears in the Central Line tunnels? And who haunts Turnham Green Station? I’m grateful to those at TFL who were willing to share their stories.
Some of the stories focus on historic events and I hope you feel that my video covers the sad side of history in a respectful and honest way, without the need for sensationalising the past. Please stay tuned to the end to hear a small post script from me, Nicola, where I’ll share some viewers’ experiences.
As always, I hope you enjoy these tales from the London Underground. Feel free to leave a comment. Thank you so much for your kind words and comments. They mean so much to me. Please feel free to Like and Subscribe to the channel.

My husband used to work for British railways and in the early 1980's was working in a tunnel doing the the electrical work with his work colleague when they came across two men in extremely old uniforms and when my husband shouted across to them they completely ignored him. He thought they were rather rude not to respond, but when they left the tunnel and got chatting to the supervisor he told them "there was no one else in the tunnel apart from you two" "You must have seen the two guys who died in the tunnel".

Hi Sharyn, there have been so many untimely deaths on the tube. I was going to cover Farringdon in London in this video but it will become a video on its own because there were so many stories! I find it really interesting when people talk about event in the workplace, as people go about their normal tasks, Thank you so much 👻🙏

I have been seeing spirits all my life, and even for me, it can be unnerving when they look directly at you, especially when the look is cold. I've experienced both active hauntings, and what you call "stone tape theory" - which I have heard called "residual". One knows you are there and may interact, the other is the equivalent of watching a film. Great job, Nicola and I am pleased to say that I did get the notification for this one!! :) I have to tell you again what a wonderful job you do blending pictures, music and narrative! You really take us into the place and story. I really appreciated hearing Linda's story as well. Thank you especially for the stories of WW II. What the brave British people endured, through the war, and even years afterward!

Robin you’re so kind and thank you so much for your words of encouragement. I find it so interesting to hear your perspective as someone who can see spirits. I don’t see spirits and I’m very jumpy. If someone burst a packet of crisps behind me I would jump a mile! Glad you enjoyed the video. Have you seen spirits in the way Linda has? Visually but so so much physically? Would love to hear some of your stories; maybe you can message me? 👻🙋‍♀️🙏

Robin thank you so much. I often wonder if people have to pause and call for spirits to appear or are they right there in front of you the moment you arrive at a location where they are ‘dwelling’? I wish I had some form of psychic or spiritual communication but sadly not!

I have lived in Bethnal Green my entire life and managed the Salmon & Ball for a short time in the early 1990s, I even lived upstairs over the pub. Never saw anything ghostly the whole time I was there and never heard tales of it being haunted either. There are stories of an underground tunnel that leads from the pub to the station. I never found it though.

I always found your stories very interesting. I have to say I really did not believe in ghosts and spirits, but the history always had me wanting to learn more. This past New Year’s Eve my husband past rather suddenly. From then we keep having issues with our ring camera(never anything there, but it goes off). We joked about it being my husband, but my head won out saying it was an animal, etc. About 2 weeks ago I am in our bedroom, not really feeling well and just looking for my overnight shift to end when I felt this pressure and warmth on my knees. What I find so strange is I know that was him, I couldn’t tell you how I know but I do. That encounter has changed how I view things and gives me a new appreciation for your stories. Than you for showing me there is more out there then we know.

Fascinating material. Liked your reference to the stonetape theory I've always found that intriguing. Tale from York where folk have claimed seeing Roman Soldiers but from the waist up. This would make sense from an archaeology point of view if its an event that has somehow been recorded. Luv this stuff but despite once being a member of the SPR ended up a complete sceptic.

Neil this means so much, I can’t tell you. I was thinking the other day that I want the episodes to be a bit like going into a newsagent, library or a bookshop (before the days of Amazon, when browsing in shops was fun!) and for a person to feel excited that there’s a new edition of a series of books about ghosts. Each one covering a different place or time period maybe, but each one having a style you enjoy. I really feel that’s what I’m trying to achieve as best as I can. I loved different series of books and magazines when I was younger. I’m not sure I always get it right and I worry the videos have a format that might be boring, but at the same time I think if it’s not broke, don’t try to fix it. I don’t know, but I really try and I am grateful for your kind words. Perhaps I’m doing it right. I absolutely appreciate your feedback so much and I hope you’ll continue to enjoy the episodes as they arrive 👻🙋‍♀️🙏

@@ghostcasebook1266 Hey Nicola, I’m impressed. The publication was called “Motorcycle Sport” and was dubbed the “Quality Monthly” or the thinking man’s motorcycle magazine. It was quite quirky. The editor and the regular contributors (not journalists) were all or mostly ex racers, authors, or worked in the motorcycle trade. One was co owner of a very expensive and exclusive marque, he was also an amazing engineer, having designed and built the powerful engines for his company. I suppose one could call it “high brow”. As an 18 year old I found the whole thing absolutely absorbing.

I am not a believer in these phenomena being the spirits of the dead, but I do find these stories fascinating. It's touching how connected to total strangers sometime separated by 100 years or more people can be, so much so that they hear or see such apparitions.

This is actually when I was in London in 2017. I did not expect these feelings and sensations that there were many souls (ghosts)on the streets and underground in the metro. It was a very strange feeling, a feeling that people had been killed especially women killed for unknown reasons., and I felt ghosts when I went on the streets.
