Ghosts Season 2 Interview: Brandon Scott Jones On That Isaac/Nigel Kiss

Brandon Scott Jones is officially a two-time Critics Choice Awards nominee! He was nominated for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for his performance in Ghosts last year and now, not only did he snag another nomination in that category, but the show overall is nominated for Best Comedy Series.
Just in case you’ve yet to tune in for the hit CBS series, it’s inspired by the British series of the same name and sees a couple, Samantha and Jay (Rose McIver and Utkarsh Ambudkar), inherit and move into Woodstone Manor with hopes of turning their new home into a B&B. After having a near-death experience, Sam comes to learn that there is already a number of people living in the manor - the ghosts of people who’ve died on the property, ghosts including Jones’ Isaac Higgintoot, an American Revolution officer. Ghosts is a true delight featuring an A+ ensemble that not only delivers one laugh-out-loud-worthy beat after the next but also manages to take their characters on deeply human arcs along the way.
With the 28th Critics' Choice Awards on the horizon, Jones took the time to join us for a chat about the making of the show and to celebrate those very well-deserved nominations.

I am so proud of him! I knew his family, especially his mother(She was my boss). I remember having Thanksgiving & Christmas at his parent's house & he really is HILARIOUS!

I was so suspicious when I first saw the US was making their own version of the show but SO HAPPY with how it turned out. Making them distinctly different characters to better fit with the history of a different land is such a great choice and has given so many more opportunities for stories. The US episode amounts is the perfect trade off for the unique brilliance that only comes from BBC productions and the Them There crew. It’s always so nice knowing that there will be a huge chunk of adventures each season to explore and even after all the ones so far there’s no sign of fatigue with the characters

As someone who came out late in life I just love Isaac's story line and his eventual coupling with Nigel. We have always existed even during the time of the Revolutionary War! Isaac is just so refreshingly snarky and hilarious.
