Immigrants road is amazing, The ost is heavenly, The animation is heavenly, The lore is heavenly, The characters are so well written, I LOVE THIS. My own personal interpretation: “Bento absolutely needed help and it’s unclear as to how much he was really in control of his actions” and “Said actions are most likely not excusable and Elize shouldn’t have been the one helping him because of how much it hurt her” are statements that can and should coexist. This reminds me of that one part in Lacey’s Pet Shop, where the skeleton cat says “I have been hurt, so I will hurt others!”

If what I believe is correct, the Cat is the spirit that the cult of cultists that Socorro was investigating appeases with their sacrifices. I think that for them to be "chosen" and for the cat to accept the offering, there must be a common condition. The Executor and the Executed both have to see the cat. Bento saw the cat, but Elize did not, and Socorro sees the Cat, but Kami does not. If the Cat introduces himself to Julie as "Socorro" it means that she is the one. Both Executioner and Offering. Socorro Need to Kill Julie for to avoid the wrath of the beast, and therefore, the end of the world.

That's a really good theory, but in that case wouldn't peteca work alongside the cult? Like, wouldn't it choose the people that the cult will murder based on what peteca says? Don't forget that, by the rules, Julie was meant to be killed. There is also the possibility that peteca works independently of the cult, and the cult itself is just sorta chasing after it. That would draw a direct connection between the cult and peteca, something I've been looking for for a while now. Overall, your theory is one of the best we have so far

Gonna update this as I figure out each song for guitar: Fur Elize: I’m playing this one in Drop D tuning. Power chords all the way through. First half alternates between the C and A power chords. The bass for the C chord alternates from the 3 to a 5 then seven (from x355xx to x555xx to x755xx) and the a alternates from x0220x to x0223x. For the second part, I did drop D so you can just play the D# power chord like 111xxx, and the A power chord just stays like the inital shape without changing (x022xx). At least that’s how I’m hearing it.

it looks like something similar happened to bento to what happened to lilian...suddenly killing someone, then dying of an apprent stroke right after. socorro is acting differently than bento was, so i wonder if the cat spirit plans to use them a different way since neither bento nor lilian were "the one" i do wonder how the cult julie was raised(?) in factors into this. i wonder if socorro is going to be forced to kill her. i feel very deeply for these characters, especially kami (having lost all her friends to something she doesn't even understand, it's heartbreaking). tundra is so talented with their storytelling, the way they tie things together and expand on their characters through hidden paths that we are meant to follow. i wonder what will happen to her and socorro at the "end of the world." my coping method is clinging to a vague hope that everything resets and they get a do-over of 2007...

I think the spirits of imigrantes road might be real but also read to me as Bento being mentally ill kind of following a similar subtext for prev 2 episodes. This was meaningful to me. I cannot speak for everyone but as a schizospec applying spirituality to psychotic symptoms especially considering a mental deterioration as the work of cruelty from an uncertain power like a demon or spirit is a very dangerous line of thinking. It might not be intended but this read like the unforeseen consequences of demonising hallucinations and delusions by attributing them to malicious forces instead of a mind that’s eating itself and cannot go on w/o understanding the horrible sides. That’s imo anyway. Brilliant work as always🩵

God also rly depressing to me since this love and shared interest for the macabre and the spiritual is what brought Bento and Elize together in the first place and there was nothing wrong with that, it was beautiful and so was their relationship. But some minds just cannot keep comfortable with that stuff over time, sometimes people deteriorate and they cannot stomach having to let go of things that could alienate them from their loved ones so they just get worse. And poor Elize mann she was doing everything she thought would help and she died thinking she failed him by letting him go for her safety. I’m gonna be thinking on this for ages
