I agree. I was very surprised to boot it up and feel that input delay. It almost killed the game for me until I did some digging in the controls and video settings. Its definitely more playable now with these settings implemented but why did it have to come to that, you know?

I thought I was going nuts. I bought this on release for the PS5 and I did not remember the game feeling like this at all. Even with these settings changed it still feels a off but it’s actually playable now.

Its a solution for some not all unfortunately. But it helps get more people in the door and that's great. Bad design on Tango's part though.

So for me it definitely smooth things out. There's a tiny bit of legs still where it's kind of slow so you'd have to kind of time your turns and looks put. As far as I can see, the controls are way better with these settings

10/10 don't know how they can a release a game with such settings. The quality adjust was the biggest and best change for me, it was suddenly responsive and smooth. Although the sensitivity is too high but if lower some settinga it gets bad again, would be great if you have a tip on what i need to lower exactly for it to remain smooth but jot as fast

The only thing I can really think of is adjusting both sensitivities until they feel right to you. I know its kind of a drag. But once you find the sweet spot it'll be game changing.

I'm on game pass PC version and even with these suggestions, it's still really wonky. The right stick in particular doesn't do what my input does, like all other games. It causes me to "overshoot" my target or go too far in the initial input direction. I've tried all kinds of combos in these settings with no real improvement, unfortunately.

I'm sorry to hear that. I play the Xbox version and unfortunately don't have experience with how to fix up the PC version. Though I feel the fault does line up with the developers and how they implemented these controls. It's very wonky and ultimately disappointing.

@@grinklesnatch yeah, it always baffles me when the mechanic has been optimized across most games, and then you come across a game that doesn't use it. Oh well, I've been playing and laughing at how hard it for me to target any enemies. It's almost funny now. I have to retrain my brain to account for the .5 sec delay in controller input to the camera moving. ugh

@@embracethemystery it's a built in glitch where the controller deadzone is stuck at 25, how this got past testing is beyond me. I was at the point where i was about to just switch to mnk but if the game cant even do a simple fix a whole year later i'm not playing it, i just uninstalled lmao
