"I enjoyed my 20 or so hours with Ghostwire: Tokyo largely because I found its world so immersive. The attention to detail in the city itself is hugely impressive, whether it's looking to recreate the surroundings of the best-known crossing in the world or bringing life to a dank back alley. This is an environment I loved being in, and all the more so because of the many touchstones to iconic elements of Japanese culture and mythology. If the moment-to-moment gameplay - in particular its one-dimensional combat and uninteresting mission design - weren't such a disappointment, Ghostwire: Tokyo could have truly captivated me. As it stands, the merely adequate stealth and action do nothing to add to the fantastical setting, but they don't diminish its brilliance, either."

I’m 5 hours in and I’m absolutely loving this game. It starts ramping up in difficulty in chapter 2 and forces you to play a bit more strategically in certain scenes. It’s also very eerie (in all the right ways), sort of giving a TLOU vibe at times. Also, playing in performance mode on my ps5 and it looks INCREDIBLE.

Games from turn based like dos2, persona series, smt series, yakuza like a dragon to real time like dark souls, elden ring incorporates these type of things in their difficulty too. That's what makes someone to use all the system they are provided with. Or even doom eternal understands this. No one would use different styles if they have same effect in combat. Instead players should be presented with different type of difficulties which can be overcome with different type of skills.

According to legend, if a person is sitting on a toilet in a public or school bathroom, Aka Manto may appear, and will ask them if they want red paper or blue paper.[3][5] Depending on the version of the story, the spirit may ask them to choose between a red cloak and a blue cloak,[6] or between a red cape and a blue cape. So just to be clear, when some games have overpowered mechanics/tactics/weapons/spells, they are criticized for it. But some games, like Elden Ring (which IMO is an amazing game!), where you can get some game/balance breaking stuff VERY early on in the game... no word about it in the reviews. And when it is discussed, it is being celebrated or "Yeah whatever". TBC, it should always be criticized.

its accessibility, you could get game breaking stuff in elden ring at the beginning but 99% of players won't get it like that. In this game, the reviewer got the OP stuff without even a guide or knowing anything about the game except for the trailers and stuff.

Unless you’re using a guide (aka cheating) you don’t typically find the powerful stuff in elden ring early on.

@@Nathan-is7li @MDH_MasaleWale Fair point, still, it shouldn't be that once you find that weapon/spell/etc (without a guide), everything else becomes/seems weak and a waste of time, FOMO, etc., when you have this game-breaking thing. One thing to note, FromSoftware patched and nerfed some stuff - which kinda proved my point a bit, also, there are still things you can get very early that break the game etc.

He says ‘maybe it’s a Parappa The Rapper reference’… it’s the most obvious reference to Zelda I’ve ever seen! lol Majoras Mask side quest, The Stock Pot Inn bathroom at night, “AaOoU Paaapppeerrrr” also they nod to it in Skyward Sword in which by giving the hand ‘paper’ in the form of a love note, the ghost hand becomes infatuated with the notes author, Cawlin. Which sadly yet hilariously causes the ghost hand to haunt him with love lol
