Ghoti Runick - A Necessary Boost? Or Fish Bait?

I wanna start by thanking you. Your Ghoti vids pushed me into trying this deck I was interested in. After testing with your list, I'm waiting for my Ghoti core to come in lol. I'm planning on running a variant of your pure list, minus the Crossouts for the moment, my fingers are crossed for a reprint in the Rarity Collection 2. Ghoti has quickly become one of my favorite decks, it had been a while since a deck grabbed me like this and I've been chasing that feeling for a while. So again, thanks :)

Now that Fishborg Harpooner is out would you swap the raiden engine for fishborg? It being a level 4 fish tuner is kinda nuts and going second can chain block Ariopnos search.

Nah i really dont think harpooner is any good. And chain block all you want but youre still vulnerable to imperm, veiler, and mourner

@@phantomsygoyeah fair point, chain blocking not as good anymore but I disagree with you on it being mid. Probably the best normal summon after Hugin and its a potential extender if you did already commit a normal summon. I know runick doesn't play a lot of monsters but definitely worth a shot for sure. And being a fish means its searchable from psiics if thats ever relevant in grind game.

interesting to use charge of the light borne and raiden as a synchro starter ive seen some people using quem/ecclesia/golden sword soul instead, what are your thoughts on that combo? ive been trying to muck about with other cards to see what i can get to work, but theres not a lot of options. the most consistent set up ive been using is beautunaful and lifeless leaffish, and using cupid pitch to let me get away with just summoning hugin. I've tried to get aloof lupine to work, but its entirely dependent on drawing a fish to go with it, and ive found works better on a more fish focused deck, bt thats just my experience.
