General Hospital 1979 Top 10 Memories

Checking to see if YT lets all my intro clips stay b4 I do any more. Anyway.....this is the 1st FULL year I watched GH so I put "MY" favorite memories together. I know not everyone will agree because I might have left out some ones favorite, BUT I would love to hear your memories from 1979. Besides my own, clips I have romabriere, susszq and no2souls to thank for the wonderful clips (memories).

ugh i just got home from work and just started watching todays GH and i see everyone beat me to it....I just heard Laura on the phone to Lesley fingers crossed shes coming back!!! I really hope they dont go the Monica/Rick route...I hope Alan is alive and not this ghost crap!!! PS this is one of the BEST videos posted on youtube AWESOME JOB!!! :)

What was the storyline with Lesley protecting Laura after Laura hit someone with a statue? I remember this from 78 or 79 and I can't find it any whete?

Was Luke Supposed to kill Mitch or what?

Yep, he was supposed to but because Laura threw his keys down a hill he couldn't make it and called Roy to do it. Both Luke & Roy were tasked with killing Mitch but Luke was going to do it since Roy was going to marry Bobbie. Luke figured he was a dead man anyway and felt guilt from raping Laura so didn't care if he lived or died.

I completely agree with you! I watched the last part of 1978 but when Lassa fever broke out and the whole quadrangle of Alan/Monica/Rick/Lesley came about I was hooked. I firmly believe that Alan belongs w/Monica and Rick w/Lesley but have to say the pain and acting and the happy payoff is what kept me coming back for more! I could give or take what was going on with Luke & Laura, no offense to either of them both incredible but back in that era....it was the Webbers & Quartermaines for me!

Laura called Lesley on today's show, apparently she's in Italy. Maybe there's still a chance DA would be asked back. Supposedly SD is returning but I hope Alan is somehow alive & not a ghost. Best thing is to reunite R&L, A&M

Yepper! Was watching closely today just hoping this is not an excuse for them NOT to bring DA back! I am a firm believer that Alan & Monica belong together, longevity should definitely count and Rick & Lesley (obviously) belong together. Hoping Lesley says to hell with it and hops the first plane to Port Charles with her husband Rick in tow and shock the hell out of Monica and alive Alan!

Yep, I watched DOOL too and he was Tony Dimera, Stefano's son and Kristen's brother. Kristen played by Eileen Davidson (Y&R Ashley). I did not remember him dying on GH nor do I remember him returning.

Also........................I got a feeling Dr Britt's daddy is a Cassadine. I know Mikko's & Tony's were deep sixed in the ice chamber but can't remember what happened to Victor. I don't think it could be Stefan or Stavros, I don't remember Stavro's fate either I think he was also frozen when Robert Kelker Kelly played him. Stefan was stabbed by Luke but for the life of me how or if Victor met his end.

So Scotty was going to marry Bobbie only to divorce her and marry Laura. No wonder Bobbie hated Laura.

RealLoisLane Bobbie lied to Scott and said she was pregnant to trap him into marrying her. Bobbie was a real bad girl in her early days on the show, tormenting Laura because Bobbie was jealous and wanted Scott for herself. Bobbie was very jealous of Laura. He was only going to marry her to do right by her & the baby, "IF" it was his child. Bobbie lied to Scott on purpose, she was never pregnant, and he didn't even like Bobbie anymore.
