The Man has got a voice .that is what i call GuloKari .. Gulo Means Throat .. Kari means Crafting. he exactly knows how to tweak and mould the voice tone.. wow .. Not too many instruments no Heavy sound .. yet this man's voice drives u Crazy .. it touches u deep inside. His vocals dominate the atmosphere. What a musician is Ghulam Ali Khan Saheb! A superb composer and arranger and a phenomenal Harmonium player. The phrases he plays here live are nothing short of amazing. Watch the reaction of the keyboard player after 6:24! Ustad Ghulam Ali Saab is a phenomenal singer and infact, he himself is a phenomenon ! He has added an altogether new dimension to the art of ghazal gayiki making it more soothing, soulful, and worth - listening again and again without getting bored ! What is so special with Ustadjee is the fact that he has an uncanny ability to catch the imagination of the listeners,;while performing, by casting a web around them, and carry them, along with the rhythm - owing to his mellifluous voice and inimitable style of gayiki ! Personally speaking, Ustad Ghulam Ali Saab has cast such a spell on me that it will be difficult to get out of it during this lifetime !

Many thanks for the upload. I have had the pleasure of listening live to the Maestro many times dating back to the 80's. Once he came to our university in Aston, Birmingham, UK and was magnificent. In the same period he performed with Abida Parween. He was pure genius in his prime. As mentioned by others he has lost his voice now, with age and Asthma, but even now when I listen to his Ghazals I get a thrill with the acrobatics he does with his voice. Ustad Ghulam Ali and Ustad Mehdi Hassan are in my opinion undoubtly the best ghazal singers we have had in the 20th Century.

Ghulam Ali gave his best performances in 70's and 80's and this is one of them. Unfortunately he has lost his voice due to asthma and after he's gone we'll be left with nothing as ghazal fans are still struggling after mehdi hassan's death. It will be hard to find ghazal singers of this caliber in future, god bless these legends and thanks for uploading this marvelous piece of music.

It's very difficult to accept that he has lost that magical voice..... happens with most singers at this age, but as hard it is for his fans one can't think how difficult it must be for him. Mehdi Hassan and Ghulam Ali sahab both defined how ghazal should be presented - though via two different styles. They are irreplaceable.... ever.

He is the greatest in traditional , cultural and classical singing . He spent a long time with 100% devotion to learn singing and paid a great respect to his teacher .
