Dude! This is awesome! I could not for the life of me understand why my override was on slot 9 and what the Effect Font Slot Menu was in Saber Editor lmao. Ive never had a CFX or a Proffie so this is all new to me. Having some music production background, Im looking into creating some gnarly soundfonts. This video is super helpful, appreciate you!

Super helpful tutorials! I am working on my own custom effect font and I have all the right files (Background, color, on-top and even a Blade WAV file. When I turn on the saber and switch to that slot it becomes blank and my board reboots. What's causing this?

Hey man, happy you like the video. I think it could be a few things. Check to see that all the files are correctly named and numbered. Make sure they are the correct file format. And make sure all the folders are also correctly named. Alternatively, try manually changing the effect slot in the general.txt file. Let me know if that helps :)

Hey mate I'm having trouble getting my accent to work properly (crystal chamber) I can access the menu on the saber but it only says "ignition accent" tapping power just plays like a select sound no change happens to the crystal any ideas

ive actually been having problems with making default color profiles for the soundfonts on my end when i go strictly through the hilt. once i change the color for one, that color is then applied to all the soundfonts, and other than going into the sd card itself, i dont know how to stop this from happening.

What it sounds like is that you are always changing the same color profile on th same blade profile. Make sure you first select the blade profile you want, then the color profile. If you want two different sound fonts with two different colours make sure you are going into the quick color menu before you edit the color profile through the saber editor. thank you so much for the video it helps me alot to understand how the ghv3 work! but since the new update the second sister bladestly dosent work anymore :( maybe there is someting to change that it work again?

Hey man. So it looks like I missed an update! It may take me a while to update all the blade styles. For now I recommend using the style without the onto effect.

@@WestSideWeeb So the update requires you to add some new lines of text to both your general.txt and background.txt as well as the settings.txt files. I have not gotten around to it on mine, but try adding all the new lines of text to the right .txt file and seeing if then works. The new lines of text can be found in the sabertec website under 'sabertec downloads' and then go to firmware updates.

Cant get any of your blades to work for some reason? They just render with no LEDs...not sure what I'm doing wrong here? GHv3, blade added to the effect font slot.

Hey! Almost finished with my first ghv3 saber. Everything works except the neopixel blade does not light up when activating the saber. There is a brief flash of red/green/blue spots traveling down the blade. Any clues on how to fix this issue? Thanks

I just stumbled onto this video in my search for trying to make a custom blade effect. I really hope you may be able to guide me better as the FB group and Reddit have not been able to help much. I was told in the FB group to mess with my accents. But I am not sure if I even have accents at this point. Any changes I made to those dont change anything an I cant find the Accent menu that the user interface sounds claims it has. Basically all I want to do is make the color of the hilt side of the blade white, that then transitions into whatever other color the blade is. Much like in this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/iYa3eIB-lLWqqdE I dont care about the sounds or drawn out ignition he has. But that lower portion of the blade. To me this seems like something perfect for a top effect. But the more I look into trying to figure out how to do this the more it seems like I am looking into the Matrix code when I open the txt docs 😂 So hopefully you see this an may be able to point me in the right direction. Thank you!

Hey man, happy easter. I am going to take a look at this video after the holiday and get back to you. What you are trying to do should be possible though. What I can tell you now is that for blade styles you do not need to do anything in the accent menu. I will do my best to get back to you quickly. In the mean time it would be great if you could let me know what saber and what install you have. Basically do you have a crystal chamber or not. This will help me figure it out.
