Hope you find this informative! Thanks again to Daniel for sharing his story so candidly and to Jeffree Star for lending his platform to share an important message.

Holy cow, what an ordeal. I also do not understand why people kick other people when they are down. I just see people like that as being full of hate, and I would not be surprised if that hate is projected self hate. Anyway, this is one of the best and most comprehensive programs I've seen on colon cancer because you explore the emotional side of his experience rather than just the medical aspects. I do hope sometime in the future you can do a long interview with him on this channel. I think this would further help people who are having gi problems but are either too scared to go in or figure if they ignore it,it will go away. WOW! I sure went on a tear today. Anyway, thanks for this video.

Daniel passed away last night per the Jeffree Star Twitter page. So very sad...he suffered so much. He seemed like the sweetest person. Many many prayers of comfort to his friends and family.

I feel for this guy. I was diagnosed with cancer in high school and thankfully cured 10 months later so I understand the struggle. No one should wish cancer or ill health on another person. I hope he does well and doesn't suffer long term side effects from chemo. I love that he's standing up and spreading awareness.

I was in car accident without correct booster seat at 9 years old (please follow booster seat until 4ft 9in). The docs pieced my stomach together and I woke 2 weeks later with a colostomy. I had it for a year and on my birthday was reconnected. However now I have horrible scarring as an adult. I practice a low residue diet and don't mess around ignoring pain. I worry about it getting worse. My chances of obstruction or twisting are high. It's scary.

Hi Doctor Chiang! Can you please dedicate a video more towards high schoolers please!! I’m a freshman and I would love to become a gastroenterologist! I would love to know your story of how you became one. I get confused and like I want to know the steps you took to becoming a GI doctor! For example, what did you do right after finishing high school? I don’t know the process of how to get in path after high school. Please guide the future gastroenterologists🙏!! Sending lots of loves!❤️

@AustinChiangMD Hi! I don’t know if you know but Daniel has lost his battle with Cancer last month. Once again they found a mass/tumor on or around his tailbone, but this time he couldn’t beat it 😔 I was watching your video now because I was aware of Daniel & Jeffrey Stars friendship and I was curious what your medical view was on these types of cancers. My father was diagnosed with rectal cancer when he was in his 40’s and went thru treatments and surgery for that. Then he had other cancers that popped up throughout his body for the next 27 years, also many more treatments followed. He has also since passed away 2 years ago 8/2020 but not from cancer, at least that they looked for or that we were told.

The reason why people don’t get minor problems checked is because it’s very difficult to get the attention of a doctor until it gets serious. From my experience, if you aren’t actively dying no one cares.

I was thinking about the accident that Jeffree and Daniel was in. I was wondering how Daniel is doing now. I didn't know his last name so I went to the video that they did after the accident. Your channel is the first I found. I was trying to see how he is doing now (June 7th, 2022). I never heard anything about him. I've watched some of Jeffree's videos. I was watching Jeffrees video about his Yaks that was from a day or 2 ago. That's when I started thinking about Daniel. I found his Instagram page that the latest post was 2 weeks ago. In that message, it broke my heart. He was talking about a surgery that was about to happen. He looks so thin. I don't see anything on his Instagram since then.
