What type of cancer ? Non small cell or small cell. If non small cell then gor for EGFR mutation test . If mutation is positive then life will be easy n prolong and if not then will go for chemo and after chemo will have to start immunotherapy and if god permits your father will be in good health Insha'Allah don't worry.

I had a scan for something else in 2023 and a 10mm suspicious nodule was found in upper left lung. Saw a Thoracic surgeon who did all the tests including a Pet scan. Needle biopsy showed it was Adenocarcinoma. Had a robotic lobectomy. There is another 8mm nodule in the center of the same lung under observation.

Good morning, we're really sorry to hear about your diagnosis. If you have any queries about what treatment is available to you, we would recommend speaking with your GP or medical team. Your doctors may tell you that there are different options for your cancer treatment. Our Making treatment decisions guide can help - you can download or order it here: be.macmillan.org.uk/be/p-19522-making-treatment-decisions.aspx. You can also find out about other people who have been in similar situations at our online community community.macmillan.org.uk. Tom, chemo is hard in my experience. Just when you feel OK you have to go again. Cut yourself slack, take 2 days to sleep and don't waste the energy being cheerful for the sake of those around you. You're allowed a shitty day here and there. Wish us both all the luck we need
