Tommy is acoustic and that represents many of us that have that at our heart even though we play electric half the time. Acoustic is the first love.

Totally awesome. Love the Purple Haze jam. TE has taken creative license with this and as opposed to doing a pure as-is replication of Purple Haze, he just alludes to it in what is essentially jamming around in E. I love it for exactly that reason, and I reckon Jimi would be digging this version of it because it seems like it's mostly improvised, playing from the heart. He could probably play that song for hours without it sounding repetitive

There must be quite a few geniuses that are not good at reading music, I think Dave Gilmore from Pink Flyde is one. A guy that lives near me, he does all the Hendrix stuff, he knows his scales and all that but he does everything from the top of his head.

No, its his flat he lived in in London in the 60's. The furnishings have been recreated from pictures. Well worth a visit if you're a fan.

Awesome playing but as a version of Purple Haze I'm afraid it does not do it for me - sorry Tommy. The technique is immaculate but Hendrix is all about the guitar hanging onto the coat tails of the lyrics on this number together with the basic riff. Take the allusions to the riff out of your version and the rest could fit into any number of tunes.

Purple Haze by Jimi is almost sacred . The only other muscian that it Justice was SRV ....we all have heard bands playing it over the last 50 years , but it comes to mind , always to me that It’s Jimi's tune and it was made to be sung by him.TE is getting big headed lol Alberta Dave
