The comic was way more brutal. The new recruits start off the 4 AM morning with push ups. Duke starts them off, goes off to eat breakfast and thinks of how many push-ups he wants them to do, then comes back and tells them how many more they need before further torture and brutality. If any stop, or fail any of the other daily training regimens like watching driver fatality films, in a metal shed stationed out in the sun, jogging 10 miles in the afternoon sun, or hour long combat drills where you just go into a pit and not get KO'd by everyone else, they are immediately kicked out and given a horrible and embarrassing military assignment from the branch they enlisted from. God I loved that issue.

to be honest since ive been a fan of gijoe for a longtime since the birth of this movie in 87, and i never even knew they would have a uniform code in their house until the "rise of the cobra" and "retaliation" i always wondered in their shows when i re watched from the begining why the heck would they wear the same clothes every episode? now we all know that they have ass loads of cars, tanks, planes, bikes, subs and even spaceships in their house i could take a second guess and say if possible they do have uniforms in the clothes department training sessions or millitary missions and even most likely would wear military attire with street clothes as for COBRA they would definently have a serious dress code i know CC would more than enough clothes in his house, barroness would most like want a rob a mall or victoria secret and for all we know and zartan and the dreadnoughts bikers play by no rules but has killer tech and biker clothes so to be honest i would say all the characters in gijoe have the weirdest but funniest fashion sense in both their cartoons and toys, trust me when you look at a joe or cobra action figures it's not what they wear that makes a gi joe or a cobra team member it's most likely their skills of every team that makes them who they are, comment me if you agree get back at me about it anytime, PEACE...

Hahahaha. Tunnel Rat's toting a sweet revolver (hand cannon), and all he has to do is crawl through a pipe, emerge, and blast the shit outta the laser-turret with one shot. Big Lob's journey to successful completion of this evolution seems a little tougher, lol. Interesting factoid: I read that actual tunnel rats in Vietnam preferred revolvers because they were more reliable in filthy, muddy, confined spaces than magazine-fed auto-type pistols. Less rounds, but more likely to work through malfunctions and the horrible conditions you'd find in a tunnel system. Love this attention to detail and this video.

Them not following it kind of defeats the purpose of going through drills. On the other hand, in actual combat Beach Head is way more accepting of individual quirks since results are what matters on the field.

Ya gotta love that this film not just had bits for the kids... but also for the adults *and* those in the Military. Beachheads line of "AND DON'T CALL ME SIR!" might seem off, given he is her (Jynx) superior... but he's _not_ an officer. He's an NCO... and he's Army as well. Army NCOs are *never* called "Sir/Ma'am". They're referred to either by the their full rank (in Beach's case, it'd be Staff Sgt), or an abbreviated version of the rank where possible. Also I love how he completely fails to notice that Chuckles did in fact try to use the weapons correctly... but they suffered a misfire. Which means that if he was trying to use the ATGMs on the side and that's the one that misfired, getting it off the tank was the correct move (since its warhead is now live)... yeeting it at the HISS may have been a bit much... but it worked.
