Too many variables, can't measure so hard to say. You can't critisise someone for their opinion. Yes, throwing 19 perfect darts in a row is extremely difficult , 4 players hitting 9 darters is so unlikely to ever happen again, but so is a player winning the world's 8 years in a row. In one day, technically any of the other records could be broken, it'd take 8 years to break that one.

John Part’s 18 missed match is insane, I really don’t think anyone will ever break that 😂 not kidding.. Phil Taylor’s 8 titles in a row is definitely the hardest to break. The level of competition now is just ridiculous, it’s night and day. I don’t think either record will ever be broken, but I definitely agree Taylor’s record is the greatest achievement in the sport’s history.

I think one record even more unattainable than Taylors 8 championships in a row, is his feat of reaching 14 consecutive world championship finals (1994-2007). Its almost impossible to even imagine someone achieving that amount of dominance in the modern era of the game.

123 average, means you have to throw at least 2 tripples every turn. Also you are not allowed to miss any doubles the whole match. I allready get dizzy to think about that. Averages go down so fast and so easely. Only an overpowered MVG could sniff on an average like that. But beat that, man i hope so, but i have to see it, to believe it.

You and i know in what era phil made the most titles, they called it Phils darts competition for a reason. Because there was no real opponents in his early days. So most titles came way easier then now a days where the game became a professional sport and the darters became trained atletes. Also when you compare the early averages where 100 was almost impossible, you need at least a 100 now, you fit in the big league. Also winning a tournement also needs some factors, luck is one of them ( not all !!.) 1 mm above the iron and its a miss, the sport is very precisely. How is your form of that day. how is the form of your opponent. Do you roll the right opponents or not. All of that needs a bit luck and to win a tournement luck is indeed a small factor always. Averages on the otherhand has nothing to do with luck, you need to throw strong the whole match and we know that a match is not just one leg. So yeah, maybe it sounds weird, but a average of 123 on a whole game impresses me more then 8 titles in a row. But that is just my opinion.
