I know some of you will say Whitlock's 16 perfect darts don't count because he hit D16 which stops the 9 darter possibility, but I think a dart can be considered perfect as long as it hits exactly the sector the player was aiming to. Let me know your thoughts

Personally I wouldn't count it, perfect darts to me are darts that lead (or could've led) to a 9 dart finish. But your definition is fair enough. Also thanks for all the vids, going to see the darts in march and these are helping kill time!

It's ok, we had the dream leg in the 2023 Worlds. 17 perfect darts in 1 leg, will never be bettered and it's not possible to. I can only say, I was so so lucky to watch it live.

The last clip is actually 20 perfect darts. MvG has 423 left after throwing 4 darts which he checks-out in 8 further darts - the least number possible from that score. So his 5th dart of the leg - the single 19 - is also perfect.

Great video! Wish Taylor or mvg would have nailed the back-to-back 9-darters I don’t think the crowd would ever stop cheering! It will happen 1 day most probably mvg there’s nobody close to his standard really. In response to your Whitlock question it was an amazing run of darts thrown but I’m not classing all 16 as perfect - yes he hit the double-start on his 1st dart thrown but it was a 32 which means he could never do the 9-darter and while that might sound harsh to me finishing a leg in 10 darts when it’s possible to do in 9 is not perfect. It’s like hitting treble 5 instead of treble 20 in a normal leg and going something like 135, 180, 140, 38 and calling that 10-darter perfect.

Because it's worth less at 50 pts than triple 20 (60), triple 19 (57), triple 18 (54), and triple 17 (51). Also, if you miss when aiming at the center, you could hit any of the point values, aiming at 20's or 19's, you know generally what you'll hit and its easier to strategize.

The video is bullshit you can’t have one guy hit a max count that then the other hits one count that but the first guy then misses so that should end the count but you have added on when the second guy hits another max. It stops when 1 dart is missed end of.
