I love Judge, but he does nothing in the postseason (obviously, I hope this changes) and we all praise him, while Stanton has always shown up for the Yankees in October, but he gets heat all the time. Dude hits some of the most enjoyable and unique home runs in baseball because he's built to be playing a different sport. Enjoy him when he's healthy. He won this game by himself, basically. Why on earth would Verdugo swing at a first pitch with two runners on with walks? The pressure is on the pitcher. Why help him. Weak ground ball to first. Look at some pitches. @edwardmcmanus7496Ай бұрын
@trevor8307 .... hey sport .... I come from a different era I suspect. When class and sportsmanship were part of what endeared fans to the game. Mickey Mantle, Bill Russell, Jerry West, Jim Brown, Bobby Orr, to name a few. Do you know any 5 tool players? Stanton has received somewhere in the vicinity of 200 MILLION in salaries from the Steinbrenner family and he has averaged approximately 90 games a season making 28 million per. And what has he done? An occasional blast. What has he hit? Maybe 150 home runs in his 7/8 seasons in NY? He's not a baseball player. He's an athlete. He is 1 dimensional period. I can name from just my lifetime a very long list of complete ballplayers who contributed to all facets of the game. I'd take Luis Sojo over him any day of the week as he was a guy who with his off the bench bat AND glove and for a roll of quarters won games. But unfortunately you can't see that. Your more comfortable questioning my being a Yankee fan. I grew up in the Bronx and as a kid saw more games than most kids.
