I just get this happy, warm feeling that just makes me smile. Before I knew who they were, when I was about 3, I listened to them and loved them and still do. They always make me feel just, happy. They're like comfort songs. I don't know why, they just bring back the nostalgic feeling of joy :)

Green Day are like every young teenage kid's gateway drug of a band to heavier rock music, I grew up listening to like Nirvana, Metallica, Black Sabbath then one day my dad gave me the American Idiot album and the rest was history, was also a mix of Green Day and Nirvana that I discovered Foo Fighters and they're one of, if not my favourite band of all time then from there I got into Linkin Park (RIP Chester) and like Killswitch Engage and stuff then I discovered Trivium when I was like 16 and they've been my favourite metal band ever since

Billie consistently performed anywhere from buzzed to wasted for years. I was always impressed that he could still play and sing well even when drunk. But when I was watching his infamous iHeartradio show live that day, right away I knew he had crossed a line. He was so fucked up (on god knows what besides booze) that he couldn't even play his goddamn guitar properly and his singing sounded awful which is not like him. Once his problem started affecting his musicianship it was time to cut it out.
