He should've won it in 2023, IMO, over Embiid. He was All-NBA first team and All-NBA defense 2nd team. The Bucks were the #1 seed and Giannis was just as dominant as ever. In fact it was his first 30-10-5 season, and he's about to break the NBA record for most 30-10-5 seasons, while shooting 60% from the floor. Respect to Jokic. It should be 3 to 3 for MVPs between them. Unless the Bucks finish a top 3-4 seed I think it's going to be SGA winning the MVP. They can potentially catch the Knicks and Magic for the third seed if they can stay healthy and showcase some type of consistency.

To be fair to Kareem, he accomplished those feats for the Bucks within 6 seasons. He came to the NBA incredibly polished and ready to dominate. Giannis took about 3 seasons to evolve into a superstar level player. Still an historic achievement for him, and he's still in his peak years. He will go down as an all-time great and a franchise icon for the Bucks.
