1:46 you can actually see exactly when the wings start generating lift by the way the plane tilts forward on it's landing gear. Amazing work! My compliments on the choice of plane to model, the late model B-25 is one of my all time favorite aircraft designs of all time. Magnificent!

When it taxi's back with the flaps down it reminds me of when I was learning to fly. I left the flaps down after landing and as we headed back to the ramp - my instructor turned to me and said "Why are we telling the guy in the tower that we've been hijacked?" lol. I was wondering if bringing the flaps up just after touch down would put the remaining weight on the wheels and bring it to a stop quicker in the model? I'm not sure how those types of aerodynamics work when scaled down. Happy landings!

The soul and spirit of man and woman need to be fed and their thirst quenched. The comforts of bought items and a TV set in a warm room does not cater for the all we need. There is an activity in the human mind that can only be satisfied when dealing with nature. Here is is, all catered for, with people admiring the works of others who operate at a high level and they are brave enough to risk their efforts. Congratulations, such get together of brave men and women where the depth of thought behind all those complex operations and hidden processes including the Radio Control link is a great achievement which Kings and Queens 100 years ago could not enjoy and could not generate the brain power any way. And then after considering the high level intelligence behind all this these people suppliment it all with a great sense of humour, a little scale jeep to accompany the Mitchell Bomber. The accompanying fighters were beautiful and I thought it brave of the pilots to operate in field where they had to clear those trees. Sometimes words are not enough, so , wish I was there with you, but as I could not, well here I am with you is soul and in spirit. Enjoy yourselves and thank you for a pensive few minutes here in my home. We flew models in my time , but not as high class and quality as these. Congratulations again and thank you for the inner feelings you generated , enjoyed every minute of it seeing such brave people risking so many hours of hard work!

@krotchlickmeugh6273 жыл бұрын
The aerodynamics and even building is identical just scaled-down. Hence why the plane flew at the end of the movie
@TralfazConstruction3 жыл бұрын
@@krotchlickmeugh627 Yes, in the original film Hardy Kruger went to great lengths to get that point across. Simply because the model aircraft would not have a pilot aboard.

Why did no2 Me109 pilot not line up and complete the formation as planned he ruined the whole effect it would have been simple maneuver to get in behind the Mitchell and slow down enough to stay there - too bad if I was the Mitchell pilot I would have been annoyed at the poor airmanship but on the bomber's part as well there seemed to be poor planning breaking circuit and approaching and landing downwind ...Pilot criticism aside this is a magnificent masterpiece of model engineering and finish and it must have been a treat to watch it in person!

I hate when they play loud ass music and talk during these events. Hate it. That builder needed to put bigger props on that Mitchell. That high pitched sound when she comes low is the prop tips breaking the sound barrier. Bigger props wouldnt do that and woupd have given it more power.
