Fun Fact : The Next was supposed to be a reboot for the Ultraman series, you can see that The Next form when he stays on earth is inspired by OG Ultraman suit that kept changing, Anphans form is inspired by Type-A while Junis is inspired by Type B/C. Meanwhile the Kaiju he fought aka The One design is based off Bemular.

This movie is great, sadly it didn't get as successful at its time..the same goes with its TV series called Ultraman Nexus because it was deemed too dark for children when both this movie and it series were meant to be for teenager and older

The movie ULTRAMAN 2004 was the prequel story of Ultraman Nexus aired in TV, the female character appeared in the final arc telling her experiences to one of the characters. The human (main character)who become a giant was classified as a Deunamist, humans who has the ability to become Ultraman in that universe.
