GIANT Amberjack Fishing & Spearfishing off South Padre Island, Texas

Tackled the fabled reef donkey in a hand to hand combat situation at the oil rigs off South Padre Isand, Texas. Amberjack are one of the strongest fish that swims, but we were up for the challenge. After boating a bunch of snapper, amberjacks, and barracuda, we decided to hop in the water and go spearfishing with our cressi spearguns.

So happy I found your channel lol. I was moving to Hawaii, and wanted to get into fishing more, and spear fishing, but fate stepped in, and now I'm moving to Brownsville, and was kinda bummed about not getting to go spear fishing. I never thought about going to oil rigs like that, that is so cool! I want to rip my drone around that oil rig haha!

Fishing out of Port Isabel/South Padre Island. The rigs are 18 miles off. There is a cluster of 5.
