Being a pilot I thought I could fly these planes no problem. I disintegrated my first 3 planes. I finally got smart and turned my dads J-3 with a 10 ft wing span he built in 1939 to full radio control seeing how it used to be free flight. I used an OS 40 and it flew just like a real cub. Everything was nice and slow and a dream to fly. Why do we always laugh at the misery the pilot experienced at the time of the crash. Great video guys.

Guys, this compilation is just the kind of fun this world needs right now. Nick and Haley have presented the good natured approach you two have to the hobby. Back in the day my hobby buddy and I would each build a dozen “combat” planes. Nothing fancy, but very fast and light weight. Then, once a year we’d fly combat missions against one another until all the planes were destroyed. The performances we put on gathered a lot of people who had the time of their lives watching from a safe distance. About 6 to 7 hours passed in pure delight. The crashes were fantastic! Sweet memories. The rest of the year we flew just like normal guys. But once a year…

I don't know any model pilot who doesn't occasionally damage his model. This is an integral part of the hobby! For me, control errors have become less common, so the models are sometimes very old and the lines oxidize and other things lose their reliability. The crashes due to technical failure of outdated technology in old, poorly maintained models are therefore increasing. Or directly on the first flight of a new model. I damaged some models by carelessness during transport. Or careless roommates let pets play with it ... there are always incidents to practice manual skills. I wish all model pilots the best of luck!

Haha that scorpion landed like a bat outta hell and was actually a sweet landing if not coming in very hot. I couldn't resist making if explode into the side of the quarry. Came out really nice!!!
