Hi friends! I've made a small error. R9 of the tail should end in 46 as the final stitch count, not 47. Sorry about that!
@Jade-ms6oy11 ай бұрын
Does final stitch count mean that’s how many stitches you just did or how many stitches is in the entire project. Also how do I know when to increase and decrease. Like is it every one? Every other? Every 4? Sorry I’m a beginner 😂
@reigningcharmz11 ай бұрын
@@Jade-ms6oy no worries! So final stitch count is the final count at the end of that row. And if anything is in parenthesis followed by a number, then you repeat that that many times. For example: (sc, inc) x 6 means you do one single crochet in one stitch, then increase in the next and repeat that pattern 6 times. Same goes for decrease. There should be a number letting you know how many to do, and if not specified, then it’s done till the end of the round. You can also check out this video on how to read patterns! That might help☺️ kzbin.info/www/bejne/houbpoloYr9gh8ksi=cLWAlPvKZ6GL9k7f

All of the instructions were clear as day and i had a blast makimg mine, which i promptly named jumbo, hes a red dino with black spikes! I’m almost done making this and I ripped out a whole row, thinking I had it wrong on R9 of the tail. But I believe there is a typo. You have “(SC, Inc) x 15, SC (47)” but no matter how many time I counted there were only 46 stitches for me. AND then I counted the pattern of R9 which only adds up to 46, however you have 47. Thought I’d let you know in case you wanted to pin a comment or add it to the description as I couldn’t find anything about it in the comments or description to confirm my suspicion. Thank you for the wonderful tutorial though, it’s very good! 😊
@brookiez1019 Жыл бұрын
I believe there is a typo in R5 of the spike as well. R4 ends with 12 stitches but then R5 you have “(SC, Inc) x 6, SC (18)” but that would be 19 stitches, so I think the SC at the end is not suppose to be there. Please let me know if I’m just wrong and making a fool of myself, I’m still a beginner! 😅

Hi there.. Could somebody please help me. My stitch marker fell out during the repeat rows ( Rows 28-34). Is there anyway of finding the begining of the row so that my work doesn't come out crooked. Maybe you could tell me how many stitches should be on either side so that I could find the first stitch.
@reigningcharmz3 ай бұрын
@@JMZL2573 hello! I would try to find R27, and I would try to find the place in that round where you did the 6 sc, inc, 6sc, inc. then I would count 14 stitches past that (which would conclude R27. Okay so I was like on r19 and I had to frog the whole thing because the top of the head was pointy. But also, you have a 10mm hook, I have a 9mm hook and mine looks way bigger, I got the exact same yarn too. I’m using a 5.5mm but it’s smaller than yours, and fits the yarn perfectly, will that affect the size? Or should I get a different hook?
@reigningcharmz6 ай бұрын
@@theresnospecificwaytosaykyl the size difference might occur if your tension is more loose than mine. I think I crochet with a tighter tension which I need to work on hahaha If you want a Dino that’s going to be big and jumbo, you’ll want to use a weight 6-7 bulky yarn, with a 9-10mm hook. Usually you go two sizes down on hook size from the recommended hook size on the yarn. Hope this helps!
