GIANT CITY BUCK goes DOWN (Napoleon): Suburban Bowhunter

In this episode, Drew dedicates his season to hunting a large 800 acre tract of land in the Atlanta suburbs to prove that we can successfully hunt "big woods" deer . After a disappointing early season, the buck that Drew has been waiting on finally shows up. The scouting and hard work put in seasons prior to learn Napoleon’s habits prove to be crucial when late season rolls around. In late December, Drew cuts Napoleon off going from bedding to food and finally ends the story on the biggest buck of his life!

4J Outdoors hahaha the cop story was pretty crazy. The fenced in portion of the property was an industrial property within the 800 acres, all owned by the same person. The cop story: I was sitting in the stand before daylight and could see my truck from the stand. Someone called the cops on me and a cop car pulled up behind my truck and flashed his lights. So I got down, walked a few hundred yards out and showed him my credentials then walked back in and killed Napoleon 45 minutes later haha.

Buck of a lifetime. Production was very well done. But the feeders made me uncomfortable, and a whole in a pretty high chain linked fence with barbed wire on top being used to funnel his movement even more so, but to each their own!

The fenced in area is an industrial operation that is required to have a fence, however there are holes and open gates in it all over. The buck just happened to like that one corner because it opened up into a creek bottom

Hey fellas I used to live in brookhaven/chamblee area near the Marta station and could see the king and the queen from my house, dont know if you guys have secured any permission there but I've seen some heavys in that area. This was around the 16-18 time frame and I had no idea people were allowed in surburb hunt. The folks there are a bit uppity so it may test your smooshin skills. Anyways I love the channel and I think it's great for hunting and bow hunting to show these young kids you dont have to own land and still land big oppurtunity. Teach them that in life you have to give respect and to leave the property in better shape than you recieved it. Do you guys have any updates on the golf course hunting mecca? Never heard if any of the plans were able to be carried out.

Sorry, but putting out feeders is not the same as hunting big woods (thousands of acres) where you need to work on patterning the deer's normal activities and then setting the trap.
